Hello. I’m here because I just ordered the Hydrasynth Deluxe. I figured this video series would give me a good foundation. F’ING WOW! You hit it out of the park sir. This will take a few rewatches. Thank you 🙏 from a new subscriber. 😃
So many good things about this synth... and the bits in this video, in particular, make it appealing beyond even the Peak. Instead of two performance buttons and a bunch of menu diving, it has eight performance knobs and a really slick mod matrix UI. Not sure the sound is quite as nice as a Peak, but these two aspects of the Hydra really are exceptional.
Thank you again for such a comprehensive playlist of hydrasynth tutorials. I will be going through all of them but I must ask, what are the most relevant differences between the hydrasynth explorer mod matrix interface and the one shown in this video?
And that within macro edit, the button under number 5 controls the on/off state for that macro and that knob the level of that macro. (So, there's no need to leave edit and crank the macro to 128. I hope I'm not too cryptic...)
What is "depth" in the mod matrix? Is is the same concept as envelope generator intensity? I can't find a definition anywhere. Really I need to know its relationship with the source parameter. Like, if I want to hear the full effect of the source's parameters do I turn the "depth" all the way up, or is it more like "depth" is the the start/end point on the destination depending on neg/pos value?
Jeremy, if I wanted to create a macro where one of the parameters goes down in value while the others go up, how would I do that or does everything have to go the same direction with the single macro knob twist?

I just bought a Hydrasynth board yesterday, and am really appreciating your tutorials/walkthroughs. Thank you.
Thanks for all these series. Helps alot. Saved it and will come back to them again for sure ✊✊✊
The sound you opened this with is bar none the best sound demo I've heard after researching this for a couple weeks. Instant purchase lol

Watching this in 2022 like "wow this still stands the test of time". This synth isn't going anywhere.
thank-you for these videos. very very helpful !
I appreciate these vids sooo much!
When you put the manual on the keyboard and hit a key at 8:59, you got annoyed and told it to stop 🤣🤣🤣 I laughed out loud
This is an awesome synth.

On desktop and original you can see 3 mod slots at a time, on Explorer only 1
I love making my own macro names! You forgot to mention that the buttons are macro controls as well :)

Very useful - thanks!
37 sec in , sounds like Boards of Canada. Very Nice!😚

Yes

3y after and still nothing beats the Hydra in that market. China’s hardwork saving another American pocket.
4:40 YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THAT AND ACT LIKE IT'S NOTHING
my little mind is blown
I'm physically attracted to the Hydrasynth.
I've never been this early... Hi!
11:34 Naughty word.
MAKE HUGE STANK
You can modulate the mod matrix!?!?!? what!!!
Right!?
