Great stuff! Scotland is the place where I went hiking and wildcamping for the very first time, when I was about your age 100.000 years ago, with my cousin whom became my walking mate for a few years. Eventually I ended up carrying 6 kgs of his beer up the mountain each time. Now he's an alcoholic and too weak to climb mountains, but we still go on casual walks every now and then. I usually go alone now, which I love, but since 1,5 y my sister has gotten into it and comes along sometimes. Vosges, France for me next week, alone. cheers

Kate Amanda Explores, welcome to Glencoe, ye couldn't have picked a better way to take in the Buchaille (bookle ) than from Ben a Chrulaiste, one of my favourite spots, midges n ticks a favourite in these regions so always be aware, a photographer's dream, in winter it's stunning, but the best view of the Buchaille and down the valley is from here, well done ladies, respect, but lightnin the load 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤

Glencoe has to be 1 of my favourite places in the world especially when you get weather like that. That's a fantastic hill you camped on for your second night the views are spectacular. Thanks for sharing

I went on a trip not so long ago and hadn't been wild camping in ages, the video is actually on my channel. The part I don't feature is that I planned to sleep in the open air, but the midge population had other plans for me. I resigned myself to deal with it but when it got to the point that I could see 1000's of midges on my forearm, I decided to hike out and sleep in the car. That hike out in the dark was an interesting experience hahaha. It made the trip overall more true to life, as it had been nothing but perfect up until that point.
Advice to any wild campers, don't assume that midges will leave because of smoke, they are very persistent and completely ignored me practically bathing in the smoke from my fire. Insect repellant is an absolute MUST in summer, or climates that allow insects all year round.
Another great video, looked like a truly beautiful evening at the second camp

Stunning scenery. Glencoe is one of my favorite places. Rule No. 1 of going anywhere in Scotland - always take a head net!

Wow, I noticed you'd posted this earlier but didn't have time to watch it, but have been looking forward to it all day - and it was so worth the wait. Love the way you put your videos together, you have some real laughs, some philosophical moments and some fantastic videoing. You captured some lovely scenes there, and to get such fantastic weather in Scotland is a real treat. Glencoe is one of my fave places, I attempted Aonach Eagach Ridge many years ago, but due to high winds I turned back. Would love to give it another go one day - hopefully you got a chance to do it. I'm looking forward to next episode already. Stay safe.

Wouldn't camp in a tent m mid-may to sept in the west in the morning and at dusk and keep a midge net(not mosquito) and use tabard or skin so soft.

Love the video. Just starting out on my own journey of enlightnment to nature, bought myself all thr gear (probably overkill to be honest) even bought an SAS Survival Guide 🤣. Anyway, ive been watching loads of videos on solo camping and hiking, done my first solo stealth last weekend and was greeted at 01:26 in the morning to a screaming fox lol, the joys! Anyway apart from brightening my day with this video, id like to also thank you for introducing me to the track "Summer Days" by Scandanavians, awesone tune 🙏

Nothing beats Glencoe on a sunny day. First time I got there, there were about a dozen Paragliders flying on the south side. God's country. Thanks (I hope you find the hidden valley :))

I was attacked by a swarm of midges when I opened my car door near Whernside, outside Yordas Cave earlier this year, like you, they infiltrated my car and bit me to pieces, I was wearing shorts and my legs were absolutely covered in bites, a real mess.
