As some one who mows lawns for a living I’m so happy we are getting rain finally. Everyone was complaining to me about there grass. I kept saying wait till we get rain and they just stare at me like I’m crazy and doing something wrong to there grass. This week all my yards are looking fantastic
I am getting quite tired of the rain out here in central Texas. I usually mow my yard every other week and lately even if I mow every week it still looks like I haven't mowed in weeks, by the end of the week. If I skip a week, it looks like an abandoned property.
My st augustine went from "help" to growing over the street. Welcome to Florida... patience 1st, green 2nd, hurricanes 3rd, then cool 72 degree winters.
I just got an email that the Night of Destruction is coming to the Freedom Factory in Bradenton, FL and had to run to your videos to find out if this is the same Freedom Factory that is featured in your videos. If so, that lawn is toast! Can't wait for the recovery videos.
Happy Father's Day to all the dad's, got to enjoy the mow myself this evening and still dominating my neighborhood. Damn it feels good to be a (lawn) gangsta.
STL here... Oh man, don't remind me about nutsedge After watering the other day I walked around my fescue and yanked some nice light green nutsedge up, the first for the season for me... hate that stuff! Now, we're going into a heat wave (97 to a 100 degrees.), so I guess I'll have to wait for spraying chemical killer.
Thanks LCN. I have zoysia and sprayed celsius and sedge hammer as well. I had one stripe of grass that grew sedge really thick. I also referred to your old video to kill some creeping charlie so I am waiting on the results.
@@jvjdrn will do. The creeping Charlie called for a borax and 24D application and I started seeing results on one area of the lawn but the other invasive area due to my neighbors lawn, I need to check on this week.
Saw this nifty little tool this guy made where he attached a sponge with some wire to a golf club and would dip the sponge in glyphosate, and basically hover it over the sedge, coating the tips since it grows so much taller than the rest of the turf. Thought that was pretty cool.
That systems was a complex system of a pesky slow moving frontal boundry with a broad area of low pressure that was pulling rich tropical moisture out of the Caribbean and gulf. Good video.
Great video Allyn! I have a yellow nuts edge problem i thought i got rid of last year. I'm going to wait until July when I typically only have to cut the lawn once a week to get them off. Plus for me it's easier to see them in the lawn by that time of the year. I cracked up when your dog was like "whoa, I'm outta here!" when you had your spider stick out by the pool. My dog would have reacted the same way. Take care and god bless you!
Bifen or taurus sc are great for ants.. also alpine wsg will work great. When targeting ants use none repellents and for spiders use onslaught spider and scorpion.
Happy Father’s Day to all the lawn care nuts out there! I had a great Father’s Day spending some time on the lawn, getting to spend time with family, and even getting a couple of lawn care tshirts.
The thing I've always known about Sevin is that it's safe to spray on flower buds. The updated version says that on the label too. That's what makes it so popular.
I have a small amount of torpedo grass mixed in with my centipede grass in South Georgia. What is a safe product to spray to get rid of the torpedo grass?
FLORIDA LAWN CARE= Trying to stop the jungle from re-taking its grounds. Thanks again for awesome video and fight the good fight......in general, not the rock group Triumph song.
every herbicides is different but most want you to not mow for a couple days prior and for a couple days after spraying. The label will give you specifics. I try to exceed those standards and wait longer, especially with halo
Allyn in the northeast getting a lot of ant mounds 3 inch round 1/2 inch high in the yard like I have not seen in years this year. Any thoughts. We have not been that hot yet. First heat wave this tues coming through friday!!!!
I Don't Know If You Will See This Comment Or Not. But Can You Make A Video On You Battery Operated Lawn Sprayer? The 50 Gallon Setup You Made. I'd Like To See All The Parts You Used And How You Built It. I Would Really Appreciate It Alot If You Could Make That Video. Thank You In Advance.
Almost 2k for Specticle FLO! Good thing I'm sitting down! I don't know dude? I don't mind spending money on the lawn, but... Looks like Bayer is the maker. Maybe they can give me a discount since they bought Monsanto here in STL and I had friends that worked there, at one time. Something tells me... that be a big NO! lol!
"They are just carpenter ants." While carpenter ants aren't as bad as Termite, they can still do a substantial amount of damage. I learned this first hand after the home inspector misidentified them as fire ants. One of the joists they were using and a travel path was completely destroyed. Crushed like a paper bag when I stepped on it.
I don’t think this ruling is about the bump stocks per se. it’s about the right wing desire to prevent federal agencies from making rulings that become “law”. Republicans don’t want for example the EPA from banning a chemical without congress passing a law. Which won’t happen effectively making federal agencies useless.
Here's the Webster duster with a long pole amzn.to/3Vrk1RN

@@MAGAMAN you can mix 0.15oz T-Nex growth regulator with a gallon of water and mow every other week or less
Love seeing results in the same video. Great work as always Allyn! 👍🏼

Thankfully this rain has also brought cooler temps to Florida. Which means it’s the perfect time to spray herbicides. 🌱🌿
Turf look's good. From outside Philly. Yes, nutsage can be a pain here, too.
STL here...

I love sedgehammer! That stuff is magical!
Thanks LCN. I have zoysia and sprayed celsius and sedge hammer as well. I had one stripe of grass that grew sedge really thick. I also referred to your old video to kill some creeping charlie so I am waiting on the results.
Please let us know how it goes @Gkrissy

yeah he is a smart boy!!
I’ve been using that duster for years. And definitely get a painter’s pole.
Not much rain in the middle where I am. Still pretty dry.
Neighbor had some nutsedge so I took care of it while I was doing mine. Share the lawn love.
I have the Webster as well. I mix bifen xt in a bucket and swab under all my overhangs, works for about 8- 10 weeks.
she likes it when you swab her overhangs.
Love the Pith.......You need a White LCN one with the Kelly green LCN letters on the front!!!!! Classic!!!!!!
Thanks for the tip to spray bug killer on the Webster duster!
you're welcome MGK!
That Bermuda looks great.
thank you! It's super thick

It's deja vu all over again. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!

Nice updating! I know it’s hard to do that 👍🏻
3:21 there’s nothing quite like untreated rain that spurs growth.
It’s amazing what 6 1/2 inches can do
Saw your video using that awful hose, get yourself an ELEY hose you won't regret it. I have had mine for over 8 years now, like new still.
Excellent video bud
thanks bro!
What do we use for torpedo grass again?
Quinclorac for bermuda and zoysia. Sethoxydim for centipede. Prayer for st aug (or a sod cutter)
There is another blackout in Florida and that is rain in NEFL.
Happy Father's Day, when is dad coming back to build something on the channel?
Always a great show thanks again brother
Magic showed up in NE Ohio the last two days. I was getting worried; I'm late putting down the Hydretain.
great video, Thanks Allyn!
Can you cut THEN spray?
Happy fathers day Al
Help get me out of this isolation-depression with dealing with Usher-syndrome. Get me there sir, I’ll work sun up till sundown!
Sevin active used to by carbaryl but they have changed it. You can only get carbaryl in 1 gallon jugs and it’s quite expensive
The thing I've always known about Sevin is that it's safe to spray on flower buds. The updated version says that on the label too. That's what makes it so popular.

Is it a good idea to try and level my lawn at the same time I overseed in the fall?
Allyn didn't I hear you say HALO has no heat restrictions like celcius does??
We need a lawn care nut for north east. I'm in NJ
7:27 Where can I get that hat?!
Looks like the grass the FF needs to be mowed more often like the bermudagrass is.
Did we forget the Celsius on the CB?
forgot to update - but it did not damage on any of the 3 grasses out there so we are good to go!
Spectacle is supposed to be good for POA ANNUAL
NE Florida no rain, recycled water pressure is a crap shoot. Don't need chemicals or a lawn cutter with no lawn.
Try Certainty for Kyllinga.
There's a product called stadia works great on sedge
we have zero rain in northeast florida for months now.
yeah that is weird how none of this tropical stuff didn't get over to you
Can you use lawn fungicide on shrubs and plants ? Granular or liquid ?
the label will tell you if it can be used on various ornamentals, citrus, etc. Those are almost always liquid apps.
FLORIDA LAWN CARE= Trying to stop the jungle from re-taking its grounds. Thanks again for awesome video and fight the good fight......in general, not the rock group Triumph song.
What kind of zoysia grass is that in this video?
Empire
I don’t have a robot mower, but should you NOT let it cut after an herbicide that works through the leaves? Or is it set in by the time it dries?
every herbicides is different but most want you to not mow for a couple days prior and for a couple days after spraying. The label will give you specifics. I try to exceed those standards and wait longer, especially with halo
Can you do some talk on how to kill Bahia? South Arkansas grass is overran by it starting around May every year 😅

No N and Phos in Florida in the summer and here I am bringing the “ides” to my brother in Canada.

You should use a walk behind edger its quicker and easier on your body
You didn’t give a two week update on the Kyllinga
good call - there is a little damage but still not much.
Stealing a man's fan while he works in the Florida heat? You're a brave man.
I hear a lot about the fert chem blackouts in FL. What is the purpose of the blackouts? Does it have to do with environmental stuff?
Yes the run off goes into the waterways via storm drains etc..which creates algae blooms...red tide etc...we get rain 12" at a time 😂
It is mostly in southern FL. No ban in my county.
@@24-7flounderproblem industrial runoff causes the issue. Consumers are just a scape goat.

All up in the cracks you say ? 🧐
Just "some sort of carpenter ant..."!? These are nearly as destructive as termites!
nice pole
Thanks 👊

Those fake columns were wood inside!
You had the active right but must have changed to a perthroid😂😂😂 government regulations no doubt
Thanks for the sevin use tip. I can;t stand the spiders webs that constant come in my garage, outdoor windows etc.
You were cheated with only 6” of rain. I got 16.5” south of Fruitville.
In Colorado we just say no to insects. Shoo!
so should i be ashamed for the double app on the sedge? Kylinga? no
Ashamed, no. I understand it. If feels like another app 7 days later will do better. But it doesn't. 😀
First comment 💯💯💯
spectacle, herbicide is definitely the best
I can’t stand to buy it because of the price, but nothing beats it
it's a rich mans game 😃
I'll do it, my Echo vs your ego,
Paint the porch ceiling a sky blue, No spiders! Promise it works.
Haint blue?
I gotta test that. I wonder if it's related to the Haint Blue porch ceilings all throughout Key West.
South Florida got nailed with rain. 28 inch

Pretty crazy that the desire to limit size and scope of federal govt is “right wing”. Obviously should just be common sense.
Begging for $😂
