    This is great. I'm just getting into 3d printing dungeon tiles and this seems to be the way to go. Thanks for posting!

    Rather ingenious. Reduces the risk of breaking the clips by ... a lot.

    This is cool. Do you think you will ever put an option for your Winterdale buildings to be able to use this system to attach levels and roofs together? The buildings would align up so much easier, and one bump to the table would not make it look like an earthquake hit your village. As it sits I can use little bits of putty but the magnets would be way more handy. Even if you did not use magnets you could use pegs like keys that you could print out.

      Yes you could widen the guide holes with a 3mm or 1/8 drill and use magnets

    What settings are you using for these clips? I can't get mine to stop splitting as I am inserting the magnets or cleaning out the holes. The layers are just coming apart.

      Im having the same issue. Did you ever sort it out? I'm using a HTPLA at 0.2mm with 3 shells / perimeters, and 15% infill. They either snap themselves or they break the tiles, regardless of generation of tile

      Hey Alzathoth, there are quite a lot now though not all of them are OpenLOCK compatible (they are designed as scatter terrain), but you can find all of the cavern files here: www.printablescenery.com/product-category/rampage-system/caverns/

    If using a resin printer, do you still need to clean the holes? Since it's more smoothly when using resin. I want to keep the clips with magnets inside the tiles. When printing more I will order just more magnets.

    • @printablescenery
      @printablescenery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The souls be fairly clean with a resin printer but the drill will be good for checking then anyway

  • @quantumzeno4892

    3mm x 4mm do not seem to fit. It not a depth issue - the magnets seem too wide. Any thoughts?

    • @mattbarker4722
      @mattbarker4722 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the holes need clearance, have you tried using a small drill bit to remove the debris around the holes?

    • @quantumzeno4892
      @quantumzeno4892 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mattbarker4722 Yup. I even tried scaling the magnet clips up by 10% and they still didn't fit. I bought some 2mmx3mm cylinder magnets and they are clearly too small (put them on the original, not the scaled up version). In a perfect world I would just buy some 2.5mm x 3mm cylinder magnets as they would be a near perfect fit, but as best I can magnets of those size don't exist on amazon (or anywhere else).
      I use a mars 2 pro btw and everything else in the true tiles set works PERFECTLY. Which is why I am willing to go through all this trouble in the first place.

      @@quantumzeno4892 I am having this issue as well. Bought about 100 magnets that are constantly breaking my clips when I put them in. It seems there isn't enough meat on the clips to prevent them from cracking. Have you changed the hole size to 2mm x 3mm? Just wondering since I am thinking a smaller magnet will leave more meat on the clip so i don't get as much breaking.

    • @seidlermedia
      @seidlermedia ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a similar issue. The printer prints the clips too thin, they are just 3mm instead of 3.5. After I scaled the clips up to 4mm in cura, they came out with about 3.5 and it worked.
