    In this video I unbox and give some initial impressions on the Prime Primavera handlebars I recently purchased from Chain Reaction Cycles. Look forward to trying them out!!

    Had both(old and new design) prime aero carbon bars..these newer bars are nicer and sleeker...I have them on my 2021 cervelo caledonia ultegra for over 6months and I love them..no problems, very strong carbon, decent price, and would recommend them.

    I'm also from Canada and I'm comparing these to the Easton EC70 carbon bars. Another youtube channel mentioned that the Prime Primavera ones have somewhat small cable routing holes that are tight when routing hydraulic brake hoses with mechanical groupset cables. Did you have that problem? The Eastons are about $30 more, so not sure which to get.

      I used them for a rival axs build, so only had hydraulic brake lines. They do seem a wee bit tight but I also didn't do the work myself!

    That was some aggressive packaging by the vendor. Nice work on unwrapping the #bars in an efficient manner.

    thanks for the video.
    is there room - and are they rated for - clip-on aero extensions?
    did you find any other bars with that sharp bend and flat angle in the drops by any chance? that's what I am after - at a good price point - more than anything.

      I haven't ran any clip on bars on these and would guess they'd be really tight if they fit! I also can't comment on the drop question - I really haven't seen too many but I *believe* what you're referring to is something like the Ritchey WCS Logic II?

    They seem to have a bit of a funny shape where you mount the STIs and an indentation at the upper corners where you might rest your hands.
    Is that working well for you? Comfy?
    With their predecessors, at least on photos one does find on the internet, I find the bar tape wrapping a bit clumsy. Is that better with these?

      Hey, I just got these installed on a bike and picked up this past weekend. Yup they're actually a nice spot for the heel of my hand. I reversed wrapped the tape just a bit past that corner, IMO it turned out pretty clean.

    What Do you think ? Is it possible to mount an aerobar(triathlon bar) on right on the middle where the tightest part of the handlebar ?

      Hi! I think it would be awfully tight! I wonder if you can find a bar that mounts to the stem instead? Look up the Tarmac SL7 one for an example

    Why you ordered 440mm when you have drop shoulders. It’s not comfortable for you

    How has the stiffness been

      @mikenaus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's super stiff. No flexing issues
