    1:00 At this point just sleep on a perfectly made bed, and use a comforter as a blanket. When it's inspection , just fold the comforter and stow in in the closet.

      A lot of people pin down the sheets so it's always perfectly made, or they just sleep on the ground.

      It saved me so much time sleeping on the made bed. However if we knew there was inspections i would redo the bed.

    In my prep school, we learned stuff. In military school they jerk around measuring the sheets in room inspections, which doesn't make them any smarter.

    PBMS123 3 medals worn by the midshipmen in the video: red/yellow = National Service Defense Medal, rated by all active military personnel since 9/11. Midshipmen are considered a form of active duty. Middle ribbon (navy blue and green) = rifle marksmanship ribbon. Outer ribbon (navy blue and green) = pistol marksmanship ribbon. All plebes undergo firearms training during their initial 6 week summer "boot camp", providing an opportunity to earn either Marksman, Sharpshooter, or Expert qualification on both the 9mm pistol and M-16 rifle. Only the Expert qualification is an actual medal for firearms training, the others are worn as only ribbons.

      at least get the details right if you are going to talk. The dark blue ribbons are not the same. The PISTOL RIBBON has 2 green lines on the edges. The RIFLE RIBBON has an additional vertical green stripe in the center.

    Good stuff. Learning the aspects of paying attention to every detail so when the time comes for the real stuff like leading people, guiding a submarine, flying a fighter jet, etc., these people are ready. It all starts here.

    Great stuff. We had a 2nd classman who just returned from sea and he stuck all of us plebes. Tap the faucet in the head to be sure it's dry..etc. Joe Rizzo, who later had some fame in the NFL, told him to take it back, and of course he did. Best not to argue with Joe.

    And there's the 1st Classmen that would enter your room right before the inspection, keep you at attention and rough the room up on you, stepping out just as the inspection begins. One of them did it one time too many. I waited for my chance, purchased a bottle of skunk juice and lobbed it in his room just before inspection.

      A. They are called ribbons
      B. One is a general service ribbon for being in the brigade and the other two are for marksmanship with pistol and rifle

    going through the USNA is not impressive. What is done because of that accomplishment is what makes you. What prompted me me change rank structures was a new 1stLt performing a USMC IG Alphas inspection and claiming dust on the EGA buttons and inside the nameplate letter grooves in an attempt to claim attention to detail. 30 yrs of service retired that started Nov 1983.

Being super strict at a military prep school for middle schoolers does not make you better than that "clown". Being a cadet officer is about learning leadership and taking care of your people, not flexing how powerful or strict you are.

    Whether You are Prior Service Enlisted Man, or even a Civilian from the Secular Humanist Society, be advised that, the United States Naval Academy ( USNA) @ Annapolis, Maryland, expects Their Brigade of Midshipmen to be " Tier One and Top Gun" in attention to detail in Morals, Military Discipline, Order, and Cleanliness. Or else, do NOT even waste My hard earned Tax Paying Dollars on wanting to become a Marine Corps Second Lieutenant or Ensign in the Navy, if You choose NOT to abide by Naval Academy SOPs, TTPs, and Department of Defense ( DOD) Rules and Regulations.🇺🇲🇺🇸🦅🪖⚓🇺🇲🇺🇸‼️
