BPV - For an experienced auditor like yourself, I was surprised to hear you quote to that cop in Scarborough what Sir Mark Rowley says. Rowley is boss of the Met Police, ie. in and around London!
His opinions or instructions or rules or advice about badge wearing or anything else are IRRELEVANT in Yorksire!
Furthermore, Rowley has NOT banned the wearing of the badge, NOT even in the Met Police. Rowley only suggested or advised his Met cops not to wear such badges. .....Also you say the badge is a "defaced" Union flag??....
On that basis, it could be a "defaced" badge of ANY country, with colours and stripes changed, altered, added or omitted.

So much wasted $$$. I can't find solid figures in the UK, but I'm in Australia and just the police call going to call out costs $200, the attendance costs $800 if it's under 15 minutes (driving there is usually 20-30 so double that). So every time you see an auditor get the cops called on them that's about $1200-1800 of tax payers money wasted. Five auditor videos and you've got the price of a good car. NO CORPORATE POLICY should ever be to call the police unless they are reporting an indictable offence. (Edit: TWO cars attended, so double that, $3000-4000.)

A police charity then adopted it with the blue line to show it is police related. The Home Office authorised it's use for ALL forces subject to the various Chief Officer's approval. What about the red, green, orange and yellow line patches for all the other emergency services. All Home Office approved.

18:48 BP dishonestly misrepresented the legis- policy rather. He highlighted the word WILL, but ignored the next sentence in the policy on screen: "Where practicable, they will make a verbal announcement in plain English to warn those present," It's right there for you to see. Not will, not must, but down to their own determination. Sorry, I'm a lawyer with a touch of autism it irritates me when people get things so utterly wrong when it's in black and white and especially in jurisdictions with statutory interpretation being an act of parliament so there's absolutely NO grey area around such wording.

255 British servicemen lost their lives to ensure that the Union Jack flag could fly again over Port Stanley. It is a disgrace to deface that flag for whatever reason and also to wear the defaced version with pride. Anyone that does wear it it just shows their lack of morals and their lack of knowledge of history. Ace Audits has just done a video on the subject, well worth a watch.
