Today's tale saw our Season 11 Road to Diamond challenge hit a brick wall with my game play making it impossible for my random teammate's on Worlds Edge to cope with. Had a great time with Bloodhound, Bangalore and Valkyrie today, and learned a few new things along the way that cost me dearly!
Getting out of Gold in Apex Legends requires more than just hiding and hoping to survive, as your loadout on World's Edge should match the strategy according to where you drop and how your teammates pace the game. I misjudged that today, but am ever mindful of trying to adapt to the different zones. However, I still haven't learned to get to the ring quickly enough....!

I’m really enjoying this guys videos, but I’ve noticed something at 18:55. His aim bounces between a box and an enemy. This isn’t that bad except there was an enemy running from behind the box. If you watch it it really looks like he has aimbot. I’m really enjoying his videos and they way he makes them is just a joy to watch even if he is cheating.
You must be new here if you think I'm cheating. Like, of all the content creators you could accuse of doing it, the guy who has hit Diamond once in 14 seasons isn't the play.
It would be more likely true if when he was aiming at the other side of the crate, the enemy wasn’t in LoS…….I mean, I can see why you might think that shot was suspicious, but if you take it frame by frame you can see that it isn’t aimbot. Just really good visual acuity.

That was the least looking cheating clip i ever saw, you can literally see the enemy next to the crate when he aims at the tree, even if you're not looking directly at the crate you can see something is there in your perhipheral vision

Honestly a mediocre teammate that you have to carry but still does some damage and is a distraction, is hundreds of times better than a teammate that leaves

Then there’s me who can’t do shit but still ends up being the carry. This is probably why my team is still in bronze lol
god i know that feeling. Worst teammates are the ones who claim you're a liability and dump you, then end stats show you had more knocks and similar damage.
Had one recently, they were verbally berating me whole game, cause I happened to get knocked twice. They completely ignored that they got knocked twice themselves, stole two of my knocks, and rushed a squad of three completely alone, getting themselves killed.

he really is though and it almost does feel like he's an old friend, I think just because he wears his heart on his sleeves and we have watched him for so long it feels like we know him personally (we as in anyone who feels this way) especially for however long we've been watching him. even the level of skill from when i first started watching him has increased dramatically.

I'm truly loving the longer format and content, even if less frequent they are coherent and are telling GREAT stories... and if you considered a 2nd place finish a "warm-up game", I would say that you won't have any problems reaching Diamond in no time. I remember a time when you winning a 1v3 was laughable, the amount you have improved is crazy!
This was quite possibly the greatest Apex video I've ever watched. Not because of the skills (believe me it wasn't the skills) it was the story, the humor and the little edits that made this INCREDIBLY entertaining. I felt like I was watching a miniseries. Rag Tagg, the greatest Apex content creator.

I feel this mans pain. I'm playing Apex now after not being on for a few months and good lord it seems console Apex players has went from garbage cans to garbage dumpsters.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. It seems like the skill level has somehow decreased. At first I thought my lobbies were just harder, but I realized that no matter which lobby I got queued into, my teammates always don't know how to play (like they are new to the game or something)
Idk what your experiences have been but I been console on this game for 2 years now and I can tell you never underestimate your foes and more so never overestimate your teammates
I cant really tell the difference between being alone in trios and having randoms this season. Its wild. I guess its good the game is getting new players (i hope theyre new….) but the matchmaking is complete trash. The ranked system is just as bad. My randoms is actually ruining my fun by not belonging in the lobbies whatsoever

this last fight was pro gameplay and incredibly enjoyable to watch! you did really great there, did hit some dirty kraber shots :D positioning in the end is mostly experience-based playing end games which I may say are maybe not your most trained scenarios ;D and you were a little lonely rat so if there were fewer squads alive you surely would have pulled a win :D ggs rag

Song, commentary, and bh hands as he goes into ult at 8:20 got me so hype. Run through brick wall stuff haha. Fairly new to the game, gold 3 player, and just watching you play and trying to copy has increased my gameplay tremendously. Also, knowing I’m not the only person who makes those careless mistakes, is great for my confidence haha. Love your channel!

Honestly , if Rags aim wasn't so bad and him mixing hipfire / ads most of the time , he'd be insane player since his rotation is good , game sense and utility usage is very very good. Me and many others , at least the one i meet in game , often forget about heat shield , don't pay full attention to their ammo , health and whatnot. The Bangalore game was very well executed , despite the unhappy ending. Even if he didn't missed the jump , there was another squad waiting for him on the ring entrance anyways.
This was more like a movie EA defo got their money’s worth with this one 😂👏🏿👏🏿. And those Kraber shots were sensational. That pathfinder car headlamp had me in stitches that needs to be a meme 😂

This was the most perfectly commentated and tense gameplay of apex I've ever seen
hey ragg (or anyone else stuck in plat), not sure if youre keen enough on getting to diamond to take tips from me but here are some.
some background: i started playing apex in s4, hit diamond in s8 and hit d3 solo queue this season, so i know somewhat what I'm talking about.
1) cold dropping is your friend, in ranked even in gold i just drop cold, all the other competent players who are in these lobbies are going to be hotdropping and dying so id rather avoid being the one to fight them, a good way to do this is to look behind the dropship and look for areas no one is dropping.
2) you need to carry, this means no playing bloodhound or lifeline or legends like that, you need to be the one initiating the fight, play horizon, path or wraith or some other fragging legend.
3) become confident, confidence is what got me from plat to diamond all the way back in s8. having confidence makes your decision making faster, your aim better and your rp go up faster. if you think you're better than these plat noobs, chances are you probably are.
4) headglitches are stupid strong in this game
5) your aim looks fine but it looks plat, get kovaaks and do the pureg training routine, it takes about 20 minutes and helps tremendously.
6) movement isn't anywhere near important as positioning and aim but stuff like holstering quickly and making decisions on where to go is also important
7) when third partying, ALWAYS wait for knocks. whenever i havent waited for knocks I've lost.
8) if you get thirded, make priority number 1 to get a better position as a team, just because you're solo queuing doesn't mean you don't have a mic, shout at those guys to go wherever enemy teams aren't and let the other teams fight first, suddenly you've gone from being thirded to being the third.
i also see a lot of people ratting when they lose the first team fight, this is a waste of time. if your team dies off drop, get their banners or die trying, theres no reason to rat it out and get potentially +70 or something when you could be going next to get a +240.
remember that solo queuing is a grind and getting to diamond doesn't necessarily take a lot of skill, in s9 i had a kd of 0.9 and i made it to diamond without ratting. once you get to diamond don't make the mistake of not playing, the best way to learn is to play against the good players, like i said i had a 0.9kd in s9. this season i got to diamond from bronze in 5 days with a kd of 3.2 in less than 100 games, this was because i played against diamond players so much that plats became easy.
