It's kinda sad that the whole backstory of your character is just dumped at the end rather than hinted at. You just go around killing your former friends without you knowing who they are or without them really recognizing you

Yeah, but it's in the same canon, so the former Overlad is still dead. So I doubt we'll be getting an Overlord teamup of *that* variety. FoE is probably the most joining-forces we're going to get - and I rather suspect the protagonist of the original game will only reappear as an antagonist, unless they come up with a way to depower him, because his power level at the end of O1 was far too high to enable a helpful progression. His spells are gone, of course, but I feel that the [spoiler!]wraiths' allegiance and possible-godhood is more than sufficient to steamroll any early-game type obstacles, which doesn't make for a satisfying game.

if by "good" you mean not killing,pillaging or stealing then yes. if by good you mean heroic then no. you'll be at 0% corruption meaning people cheering to you and shining armor,but you'll miss half of the fun by not being evil
