Mary is always condemned for her actions, and rightly so, but the fact is that all of the Tudors were vicious. Henry VIII executed upwards of 70,000 people during his reign, many due to resistance of his tyrannical rule not to mention executing wives simply because he wanted to marry another.
@20alphabet Henry VIII was excommunicated from the Catholic Church in 1538. Thus, he was then Protestant. Didn't stop him carrying on as a murderous tyrant.
Her father was the bloody one, he murdered over 72,000 people including two of his wives and damage his daughter. Hope he is burning in hell for all eternity for the crimes he committed here on earth!
We were so sadistic that we were responsible for banning SLAVERY and we never came close to the Spanish Inquisition in killings. Catholicism itself was violent, hat because of BLOODY MARY'S actions against Protestants resulted in a Mandatory Law that cannot ever be changed NO CATHOLIC CAN EVER SIT ON ENGLAND'S THRONE AGAIN. I wonder why Henry never beheaded Anna von Klef who turned out to be a great friend of Henry and was called his "Sister"
@@susanwebber9247England hung drawn and quartered Catholics and burnt protestants on the same day in Henry's reign how much sadism can you have on one menu?
Imagine, hating, torturing, and burning alive people simply for not believing in what you believe in. A formula that has been practiced all throughout history and still happening to this day. One of the reasons I despise religion and wish it had never been invented.
What people tend to forget is that Mary's mother, Catherine of Aragon had a Sister who was insane, her name was Juana who was married to Philip the Handsome. When he died she had his Coffin go with her everywhere, and would fondle the Corpse each morning and evening. She was also the Grandmother of the Sadist Don Carlos who reveled in the torture of animals, and her Great Granddaughter of Maria of Austria who was also Insane. Instead of blaming Henry put the real blame where it belongs, on he hereditary insanity of her own Mother's family
@@jimmyrutledge5115 Mary burnt to death more Protestants in her five year reign than Elizabeth did in her 42 year reign. She also survived FOUR attempts by Mary Stuart, a Catholic, to assassinate her
@timducote5713 Whatever else, Mary 1 was at least honest. Her motivation, right or wrong, was piety, not politics. She sincerely believed that God wanted her to stamp out heresy. That's why her method of execution was to burn at the stake, as opposed to any other form of capital punishment. She regarded heresy primarily as an offence against God, not as a threat to herself or her reign. That, of course, in no way alleviates the horrific nature of such a death. Elizabeth I, by contrast, hypocritically passed statutes which declared the practice of Catholicism to be High Treason, a political offence as opposed to a religious one. Hence, Catholics were liable to be hanged, drawn and quartered for adhering to their faith. So Mary's use of burning at the stake was shaped by her perception of the nature of the "sin" of heresy, not because she wickedly sought to employ the most painful or "bloody" form of execution.
What horrific cruelty! I hope that those who did these acts will suffer terribly in the next world. Love your narration.
Well now….aren’t you the Jesus like Christian. 👍🏻🙄
What “next world” no such thing.
It takes a serious psychopath to do this crap.

Catholics are like that when in power.

"My Lord Edmund, how much would you receive if you were to stop your torturing?"
"Nothing, I love inflicting pain. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha."

Interesting, but absolutely irrelevant to the issue in question.
All in the name of religion.
More like politics.
Not saying that my last name is Bonner, but if it was, would this be an ancestor of mine?
Asking for a friend.
Bloody Mary was tortured? 🤔
Torturer. Learn to read and dont give yourself a thumbs up for your ignorance. 🤔
No she was not.
@@danielking3611 , I didn't think so. The opening to this was kinda confusing...🤔
She was cruel
Evil 👿
Mary blamed Protestants and Anne Boleyn for everything wrong with her life. At times she seems to even blame Elizabeth and Edward.
How can human beings do this to each other? These religions are of no merit with this history
Typical papist.
No thoughts about those Catholic persecuted, tortured and executed by Edward, Elizabeth, and James 1 ?
Edward and Elizabeth hardly had clean hands in the persecution department. Henry VIII condemned thousands due to politics, not religion.

For those that are unaware this is what true catholicism looks like.
You are absolutely correct. In this, the age of information, you'd think people would be wise to it by now. Catholics aren't Christian.
you do understand that ,throughout history, absolute power will rear its ugly head like this even without religion being invoked.

I didn’t know there was false Catholicism.
