I love the fact I just purchased a fms yak 130 and was looking to weather it . The first video that popped up after searching weathering techniques had the exact same bird. Time to get out my airbrush. Many thanks

You are the master of the weathering. Most of the weathering on my PLANES comes from the Grass I Fly from. It ends up every where from the prop mowing the grass. 😎

Haha, there's always plenty of that weathering too. ;) Thanks for the kind words!

I'm going to rebuild an old Starmax He162. Going to use Mod Podge stiffener for the sealer. I'm using Dap Pink spackling. Sands great, not like the crap you used. Prime with flat Rustoeleum. Sands like Butter. Takes a day to dry. Top coat Tamiya of course. Adding a Mercury 8 blade. Thinking 60 amp esc with 32004s. Whatcha thing on the power. I'm a airplane painter in real life. I've got that down its the power system I worry about. Thanks for another great video!!!!

Thanks for watching! Good idea with the mod podge. I'll look into the DAP pink, though I found a spackle from Sherwinn-Williams that works pretty well too. I'm not familiar with that mercury fan unfortunately, so can't really say. Do you have a link?

Thanks so much for your great videos Chris. I always learn so much from you. I’m weathering my 1600mm spit right now. Check out my video on my channel if you have a second and you’ll see just a snipit of what I’ve done, will be posting a full video soon on her. Also with FAA regulations, we’ve designed plastic templates that can be customized any way you like it and then you can airbrush stencil with any color on any aircraft for a custom look and use many times over. Let me know if you’d like one. Thanks again for all you do for this great hobby!! 👊🏼

Thanks man, I appreciate you watching! I saw the spitfire wing in the powerlab vid, looks real good man! I've been pondering the FAA solution now that they're mandating it be external on the airplane. Been thinking about just simply printing them small and inconspicuously and placing them on inner gear doors since they're technically outside the airplane when down.
