    Today I'm showing you how to diffuse wavy / curly hair. I have 2b hair and this is what I do to achieve fairly decent results. I strongly request you to consider that a diffuser is not a magical tool that transforms damaged hair into beautiful bouncy curls. Please watch the video to get my honest opinions of how and why diffusers are useful in certain situations but aren't mandatory to get good results.

      It's true though. Some videos make you feel like a diffuser will completely change the appearance of your hair. They're expensive too. So fair warning.

      @@MichelleManuel I really had my eyes set on buying one. And I don't even have a routine yet, I fall directly under the category you mention lol. Legit thought a diffuser will magically make my waves defined. So your words are very much appreciated!

    As usual, very informative. Just had a question, does diffusing make one's hair less frizzier than air drying?

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you diffuse the way I've diffused following the exact instructions, you won't have any more than usual frizz. If you're rough and do it anyhow, you will have lots of frizz.

    Hi! Such a clear video! Just a quick Q, are you just using plain water to wet your hair before the process? Or any specific products are used? Do i need to use any mousse or something? I have wavy hair, not curly. Thank you! ❤️❤️

    Hi Michelle, from 3:28-4:18 was the blow dryer on heat mode or on cold mode? It is at lowest fan speed right?
    Thanks in advance I just bought the diffuser

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't use the diffuser on high temp setting because i don't have any cg friendly heat protection products as of now.
      I keep it on the low temp setting and switch to medium heat for a few secs. After which i hit the cool shot button.
      If you have heat protection products then you can diffuse on medium temp.
      Watch my no pain diffusing video. You're going to need it soon!

    Hey Michelle I have just started my cg journey... ( all thanks to you.. Your curls convinced me lol❤) I wanna ask something is it okay if I diffuse my hair once a week? Will it cause alot of heat damage?

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can choose to diffuse on no heat.
      If you decide to use heat you'll need to use heat protectants.

    Hey Michelle
    Do we plop before diffusing and if yes for how much time should we plop ?

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. Everyone doesn't do it. Some people plop before diffusing and some don't. Totally depends on if you need it.
      I definitely do. As a wavy girl, I never skip plopping.

  • @anonymus5316
    @anonymus5316 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Off topic but you have coloured hair right? If yes, does it cause more hair fall (even if we maintain distance from roots) or affect the regrowth of hair or cause greying of hair?

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The things that cause hairfall are genetics, nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalances, pcos, thyroid, clogged scalp etc. I can do some research on hair colour causing hairfall if that's what you're asking me specifically.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stress also

    • @anonymus5316
      @anonymus5316 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes totally! It’s multifactorial.
      Yeah that would be great if you do a video on that as there’s enough understanding of it being damaging to hair but not entirely of hair fall 😄

    Does it damage our hair? I have heard that heat is bad for hair🥲

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heat is very bad for the hair. Long term heat will damage your hair.
      Which is why you see me diffusing mostly on the low fan + cool setting. The air coming out of the diffuser is not hot.
