They wound up refunding half of the lighting package cost. We kept the lights even though they weren’t as described. They’re much nicer than the stock ones but not what we originally wanted.
Not before close, no. We’ve been working with them over the last few months to fix everything. Thankfully no more blue tape but a few more things for them to fix in the spring.
@@michaelmikoloa5803 Gotcha. I’ve had some people recommend an independent one. I talked to the project manager about it and he confirmed that they will review what comes back but only fix things that aren’t within code. Generally, he said he’s only had to change things on a handful of homes like adding more insulation to the attic. I’m hoping nothing comes up but figured the extra inspector would provide peace of mind. It’s crazy how fast these houses go up
@@RichGrillo I would see the cost of independent inspector in my area and also ask my project manager if I could use one now since I declined the suggestion earlier on the project
@@michaelmikoloa5803 I was quoted at $575 in my area. That includes the basement so you may be able to have it done for less. The prices were based on square footage including the basement.
@@sadedaughterofzion I have seen some videos of the same model without a basement. They’re all really nice. If I’m not mistaken the door to the basement becomes where the hot water heater goes but I’m not positive

I am considering the modern light package. I expected frosted glass where you couldnt see the full bulb.

They also changed out the bulbs for us that are more modern instead of the ones they tried to give us originally.

Upgraded lighting packages. Both extra led ceiling lights and the modern light fixtures.
What’s the exterior color?
I looked back through the paperwork but can’t find the name. I think it included twilight or midnight in the name.
