  • You may have heard it takes hours and hours to charge an electric vehicle and all you will be doing is waiting around on your car to charge. Let's talk about this topic.

So the bottom line is charging isn’t a hassle as long as you can charge at home or you only drive about 1/2 the mileage range & can charge while you shop. It’s a huge fu¢king hassle if you’re going on a road trip that goes beyond the rated range bcs not only can it add an hour or more to say a 4 hr drive, you also need to plan your route to where the chargers are and hope they’re working properly & there’s not more cars than working chargers available. EV’s like chainsaws are great, but not everyone. Oh and I’ve watched plenty of bigger EV channels than this one to know that 15 minutes of charge does not necessarily get you to 80%. But even if it did that’s still 10+ more minutes than it takes to fill my car with gas. I don’t know about y’all but I’ve got better things to do with my time than waiting on my car battery to charge.

There are Tesla EV’s and everyone else- Tesla chargers are everywhere, they are easy to use, very reliable and relatively fast (20% tov80% charge in 20 minutes) everyone else has to use unreliable and relatively slow chargers- a real hassle!
Take home message- . Things may change in the future- but for now unless you charge at home and not on the road, you are foolish to buy an EV that is not a Tesla
