This is a good idea and a great way to start with a budget pc. Able to adjust as needed but you dont need a $1k to get into 1080p gaming as many want you to believe nowadays.
When I build a pc to flip, if it is a white theme I use the Thermalright X120. Very similar to the Vetroo V5 but cheaper and I actually like the way the X120 is installed better.
It can also stream with that 1660 super. Overall for gaming streaming I would go with the 1660 as well and get a better card later on like that 4070 super or 7800XT
walmart has a sale on the 7600x if you wanted to go that route, you can slap an aftermarket cooler on it. I can see why you went for the 1660 super, but personally would still spring for a used 3070. nice video, much love from PCMR

I got the upgrade idea but 1660 with that processor for the money when you actually go to buy I question. As a Canadian viewer you're asking me to spend more on my cpu and motherboard and ram than the GPU. I wish there was a Canadian version of your show thanks for the hard work guys.
Third video in a row, The two setttings that you could change are in the installation settings for the game itself they are called pre download streamed assests(on) and high resolution textures(Off), also if you just did the drivers obviously play 3-4 before showing results. (if you plan to play on performance mode disable directx 12 shaders as well)
Congrats to Jonah. First time i have heard him. Good job. 1660 supers are a good card for that. If you want to upgrade.Has been for a while. Maybe that guy who keeps asking for a free pc will have a shot.
Hey Toasty Bros, awesome video (like always). Could you please review the MicroCenter Power Spec G235 gaming PC for Fortnite ,Warzone, and Valorant. I was looking to get this PC and I don't know If I should get it if you review this pc it would be amazing!
For Step-by-Step videos, please do not skip the thermal paste for the CPU cooler. I realize 99% of the audience knows to do this, but a step-by-step instruction should not leave this very important step out.
The wraith coolers along with other select coolers come with thermal paste pre applied already but I do agree they should’ve just mentioned it to no cause confusion
do not forget that the cpu cover is put back in the motherboard as if or when you have a problem and you need to send the board for a rma you need that cover to protect the pins on as the board manufacerer will not fix your board . Question also why do you only use components for e sports , unlss you going for the younger generation.
I just dont see how u can jusitfy going am5 under like $800 am4 is just superior at this range and is still supported and is still getting an upgrade path. Getting like a 5700x or 5800x3d with a much better GPU is going to give you better performance quality.
instead of getting the 1660 super, You Can Get The GTX 1070 For a Simular Price And The GTX 1070 has 8GB of VRAM While the 1660 Super only has 6GB VRAM
My 9-year-old wants to start streaming/ recording his gameplay of fortnite. Is this setup powerful enough to run the game and at the same time run OBS in the background without any lagging? Thank you in advance.
That gpu is so outdated compared to that cpu. Want a budget build? Go am4, still a ton of life left in that and youre gonna save money allowing the purchase of a better gpu that will have more longevity. GTX isnt even a thing anymore unless you consider the 6gb 3050 a modern gtx card (which nvidia realistically should have done)

Why pay for 4800 MHz RAM when the CPU is only optimized for 3200 MHz? It isn't much more money but when you are looking at GPU's on the secondhand market even $20-30 goes a long way
A used 1080 for about $110-120 (real prices not youtube fake prices) would fit in that build and is about double the perf of your 1060. Then run the latest FSR on the 1080.
I have to add a little 2 piece about your last video, fair enough you corrected it by that single channel ram debacle, I mean guys, you should have know I'm not even that computer literate and I was literally rocking in my chair with frustration, budget builds cool but no sane person that knows what day of the week it is is going to do that, you just spoilt the whole test and made it very convoluted. I've noticed you consistently leave out little bits like nah we're not gonna need that and then you need that, stupid simple things like adequate amount of sticks of ram even during your first server video. At least do your basic due diligence before you go out there to change the world.
Shouldve went with 7500f, saves about 50-60 dollars and only loses about 2-3% performance compared to 7600 edit: doing this lets you be able to upgrade to 32gb of ram or a slightly better gpu
this one leaves me scratching my head... why are you using a PCIE Gen4 setup with Gen3 card? Seems like a waste of performance not to use a PCIe Gen 4x16 card, even is a bit more money. Something like a RTX 3050/60 or RX 6600 would make much more sense with AM5 platform.
@@Dinethshavinda yeah, there is still a ton of upgrade room left from base model RTX or Radeon Gen 4 cards... I get what you're saying, but no point holding a system back on purpose when already outside of ultra budget numbers for money.

An RX 6600 might have been a better alternative. Definitely need an aftermarket cooler. Thermalright Assassin X120 is just $18.

you can pair a rx 7600 with a 4080 super at max at 1440p
