The Emperor murdered by the Dark Brotherhood, the Empire weakened after the civil war with the Nords, Skyrim's canonical allegiance to the Empire still to be announced, the ever-present threat of the Thalmor... I can't wait to know what's next in the lore.
Weakened after the civil war?? The empire has all his forces in the frontier with the thalmor The Emperor to not neglect the border he sent only Tullius and he recruited volunteers locally so the empire soldiers you see in skyrim are just a bunch of farmers

The forces in Skyrim are low in numbers and is in majority made out of locals because the Emperor doesn't send any soldiers from Cyrodiil anymore, as we can see in a dialogue with Tullius. I might even suggest that IN NUMBERS, the Stormcloaks might be greater by a significant amount. The economical situation (money) on both side seems to be almost the same aswell (again, in Skyrim, disconsidering the rest of the Empire because they are not involved). So yeah, The Empire is having a really hard time in Skyrim.

This has to be the biggest secret of this game. You won't even find any videos on this chanel on any other talking about this song on youtube.
