This community worked together, eat together, make fun and laugh at each other, kind to each other, sharing their things and always care for one another. Most importantly, they had lots of fun and enjoy every moment. The kids, adults and elders are always smiling and living their fullest and peaceful life with everyone.
I am from SA, in a village where I grew up, ladies used to carry very heavy bundles of firewood, I mean 54 years ago, some of these 'gogos' are still very strong hence they've aged. My point is our DNA maybe is very strong physically even myself I do jobs that some men wouldn't be able to do, we grew up with no technology like now so our bodies are used to work hard. In fact I find people who don't do much of work being sickly all the time. One just have to know their limits, I mean even the food they eat in this family, it is very nutritious. We are strong physically.
We luhya tribe(Bantu) from Western Kenya call our grandmother's gogo or Koko depending on subtribe.

Felista is a very valued member of the family and community. Her strength, tenacity and sense of humour are humbling. It is lovely how she has embraced grandfather and takes such good care of him,it makes others aware of what a special person he is and want to do more for him too.Many hands made light work of cleaning the village well and the excellent meal at the end was a fitting gift and reward to all.

How nice of Shan Shan mum to buy an early birthday present for grandpa. Thinking about her own father in law She was very emotional when she say she didn’t have the chance to care for her own father in law. I guess grand pa help her family when she was young. Felista was emotional too and little Feir as well. Can see her eyes. In this village when there is a problem the whole community will come out to help and everyone knows each other well
Lifting with the upper half of your body is a lot easier. I’ve done this many times in my 62 years. Feli is strong and healthy. She is a truly amazing woman. I love how the community works together and eats together. Village harmony is what the world needs.

The dress looks so beautiful on ShanShan's mother. People are so close to each other in that village. They fixed the well together through the team work. It's amazing that they built their own well and tap water.
People remember hard work is her culture. This is a walk in the park for her. She knows her limits and won’t let anyone stop her from working. There’s a big difference when your physical work is in the property that you live in
True for most us African women it's the way of life, especially for us who grew up in the village
Africa is the most diverse place on earth. In many countries in Africa this is par for the course but most certainly not in all. In my (African) culture we hard by working smarter. Academic pursuits and entrepreneurship is what we value outside of family life. Both types of labor are equally admirable though.
