i would sugest maybe an 4 x 80 frame to freeskating. I know is not a 100mm but at list think would feel better. I do love the idea to skate to a spot with big wheels and just change the frame at the spot. Great video.
great review, I think the kizer trimax is the superior tri-frame. its plastic so the grinds will feel more natural and there is solid clearance with 3x110mm. I think it also looks better for aggressive boots but thats entirely subjective. It is £30 cheaper than the ground control offering in the UK and as far as I can tell its every bit as good if not better.
However if you don't plan on doing grinds aluminium is always better for just simply skating. After skating aluminium big wheel frames I can't really go back to plastic, they just feel sooooo good. Super solid and fast. Also, race axles and built in aluminium spacers are awesome!
This instant frame change system looks awesome. I wish there was something to allow switching when skating on a mix between asphalt and gravel or even hiking trails. I have Rollerblade Twister Edge and would love to switch between a 80 or 110 mm frame on one hand, and a PoweSlide SUV 125 frame with inflatable offroad wheels on the other hand. Is the only thing I can do to ditch my boots and get boots which have the instant frame change system?
Old video is old, so not expecting a response, but do you know if these have any issues with smaller wheels, like 90mm? Also, if the soul needs to be modified to accommodate the middle wheel, would that cause can problems if I switch back to a regular frame?
I bet you could ride 90’s with no problems, but not sure you should. 100’s maybe. They released a new version of these frames a few months ago and they fit without the soul plate mod. I’d look into those.
Back to Blading Thanks for the quick response. The V2s are the new ones I take it? On a side note, even though I haven't watched much of your videos, your channel has been a huge inspiration for me as I had went 10 years or so without skating and felt like I wouldn't be able to get back into it again. Even though I'm going through another forced break at the moment, this channel reminds me that I can still do it. Thank you for that.
Yep! They fixed that rubbing issue in v2. I get why they had them low in the first place, but so many more skates can use the frames now. Thanks! There’s plenty of videos to watch now. My year review is probably a good one if you haven’t seen it. I just love to skate, however it may take form. Glad you’re back too.
So I'm just now looking into tri skates. Anyone have any suggestions? Conversion kit for my razor Genesys G7.1 or just a whole new tri skate all together? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I don't have any plans to do the 125, maybe I'll try the new ones though when they're out. The Remx look interesting, they're on my list. Thanks for watching!
@@BacktoBlading Thx!I will stay by Tri bec of wheel length size. For the steps are better. I have Powerslide Blackout and the frame size almost the same like GC.
Did you ever get a chance to try the GC frames on the Seba skates? I bought a dedicated pair of tri skates (Powerslide swell) and nearly broke my ankle. I will need to see if it is a cuff support issue or boot design since I’m such a big heavy guy
No, I haven't. The ones that I got weren't compatible with the Seba. The new ones are but I don't have a set. I did try the Kizer Trimax though, and they were fun.
The Twister uses standard 165mm frames, so anything you can find would work great. I use the Powerslide PT 110mm on my Imperials and it's been a great skate. Link to vid: th-cam.com/video/zFvzRCbmlvw/w-d-xo.html
Ha! I'm really fortunate to live within 30 minutes of all sorts of great spots. I wish I had a better indoor park with a nice mini ramp, but that's it.
I’m curious if you have any experience with the 80mm ground control on the shift? Do you think having smaller wheels would solve the stability issues?
I've skated his compass 80mm wheel frame for months now and they're extremely stable

I think you're right, the Trimax looks great especially at the price. I haven't tried them yet though, maybe next review? Thanks for the feedback!

I have the same frame on USD carbon ... Great flow

You can find great dedicated skates now for relatively cheap. I’d go that route.
Love the music. What is that?
Great review👍keep them coming!😁
Thanks! Love making them.
That plug though at the end, lol
Which?
cool review. Subed.
Thanks! I've got a USD Aeon review hopefully dropping this week.

subscribed for the nice chiptunes :3
Ha! Thank you. Love the 8 bit era, fits in with my Back to Blading theme.
wow. 2017. fresh salomon skates in shop.
Always need to remember where we came from.
Hi!
Witch u like better?
GC or Trimax?
Both are great. GC probably better but a toss up

Could someone help me I want to but a 3wheel frame for my Rollerblade twister pro 2016

You don't need to take off the skates to change frames
I'm sure you don't, but I'm not limber enough to get to the IFC buttons unless I do. Would make the swap much faster if you are though
I can't watch your vids, too jealous of the spots.

"H-block" frame instead of "grinder" frames might help you send a little more legit.
