HOW THE FUCK ARE THERE NO LINETWISTS but when i open even a little unstable the whole thing decides to spin faster than a f*cking ceilingfan

Man if you would just take youre head bachwards, as much as you can you would have done a layout and end up on youre belly, just a quick tip, way more effective than tring to collapse everything. Stay safe

This is exactly how I had my first cut away too! I have the vid on my channel, I was starting to pass out from the spinning.

I have a question. How is this a flat spin? Or better yet, what is the flat spin? I mean it with a genuine interrest. I am trying to imagine how one can get into a non-controllable situation on wingsuit (and how to get out of it if possible). And I say this without having experience with high-performance wingsuits.

Essentially a flat spin occurs when not enough forward speed is generated to keep the suit flying stable (AKA stalling). If you have ever seen a plane stall, a similar effect happens (watch Topgun's scene when goose dies). What happens is the body begins to spin and centriputal force only makes it worst exponentially. I had this happen on one of my first attempts to back fly. I was still at around 40 WS jumps and clearly was not flying the suit fast enough on my belly.
The idea to getting out of a flat spin is to arch with your legs and arms in (BANANA SHAPE :D) while looking for the earth (Green, not blue ;) ). Once this happens, the goal is to go into almost a head down in order to generate the speed/lift to get flying stable again. It took me roughly 3000 ft to get out of mine as a newer wingsuiter. If you ever get into wingsuiting, I highly recommend setting a no-more fuck around altitude especially early on. For me, that is 6k so I don't end in a flat spin relatively low.
      Hope this helps, cheers mate!

Arms back and arch, slow down the speed and fly again! If you still not able to fly again, your arms are already back right, petty much touching the container, so, deploy main canopy..glad your are ok, but you did everything wrong.. even emergency procedures.. you need a better coach..the exit and transition to your back was great..keep flying blue skies sr.

Thanks for your comments Mt Zoni. EP's weren't wrong, i deliberately pulled reserve handle given the main was still in the container and the pc not out of the boc. The cutaway was pad was pulled out of the velcro more as a result of the opening shock from the reserve. My hand was obviously on the pad in the first place and when I was belly to earth i'd felt i'd pulled it so just took the whole thing out.

      @@Davegreen1974 , I agree with Mt Zoni.
From the video, it looks like the old school recovery technique of balling up was used. Hands at stomach and knees bent forward causes a reverse arch with butt sticking low. This is counter productive.
The most common reasons for becoming unstable are transitions during flight or getting bumped around by one of your group(accident or intentional). Hey, that's what friends are for.
The following is not instruction. Get instruction from an on site coach.
When teaching the FFC over the last 15 years, I use the A-B-Cs for recovery if one gets stuck in unstable flight. It makes no difference if on belly or back. During all of the following, continue maintaining altitude awareness with quick looks at chest/mudflap mount alti. Remember what is pull altitude and hard deck.
A- ARCH. - Like in a traditional RW relaxed arch, exhale, push belly forward/head back & look for the horizon while collapsing wings= arms relaxed up against side of body, legs bent at knees with ankles and knees firmly together, When belly to earth and -FALLING- (not flying), open arms then legs and resume flying. This stops most instability. Check alti and look for dropzone.
If that does not work, with arms and legs still collapsed, check alti.
B- BANANA, (not ball up), go from a basic relaxed arch into as deep an arch as possible, head way back, knees bent more and try to grab ankles behind back. This should achieve belly to earth FALLING. Recover as described in ARCH. I have never had a student go past this to Step C.
C- CANOPY, If above/at pull altitude and unable to regain stability or are starting to grey out, deploy main and STOP THE SKYDIVE. In BANANA position, ones hand should be right next to the PC handle. Grab PC handle securely and pitch PC with quick but hard throw, bring wing back in and keep arching. Main might have line twists. These are better than to continue spinning and losing much more altitude. If one blows through pull altitude without deploying main, deploy reserve and expect line twists. When in doubt, get nylon out.
I actually teach these steps with student fully suited up and on a creeper. Sometime during the final dirt dive while following the dive flow, without warning I spin the student on the creeper with all my might. I want to see if they remember to perform the steps when they unexpectedly are not "stable".
Obviously, altitude makes a difference, but if I have a choice, I would rather stop the skydive ABOVE deployment altitude with my main and deal with possible line twists than go straight to reserve. Due to slower speed of rotation, a cut away from a spinning main will most likely cause fewer(maybe zero) line twists on reserve compared to going straight to reserve from spinning WS. If below pull altitude, going reserve will provide more time to deal with any line twists.
If one was not taught this method of recovery, might be a good idea to try it on the ground, fully geared up on a creeper.
Again, this was not instruction. Talk to a qualified coach before attempting anything in the air.

nope. I pulled the reserve handle deliberately given i didn't have my main PC out of the BOC so there was nothing to cutaway.
The cutaway handle itself was unintentionally pulled because i had my hand on it during the opening shock of the reserve.
