Love the Freedom Train! I had had plans, as far back as March, to setup and run a patriotic-themed consist this year, but then a whole bunch of drama (getting laid off from a 25-year career) came along and spoiled it all. It didn't help that my table is out in my oven-garage, but there's good news! My oldest finally moved out, leaving us with an extra room! I still have two younger kids, but now we can move things around, and that has led to a solution for moving my table into an air-conditioned space of the house. If all goes well, it'll be more suitable for holiday-themed layouts, which are my favorite! Can't wait. 🤞
Sorry to hear you were laid off, I hope you found something new. I used to have my layout in the garage as well and still make my Halloween Layouts there so the neighborhood can see while trick or treating. Holiday layouts are my favorite as well, especially Christmas!
