We loved going to Rome as a family! We had gone as a couple once before and were happy to go back again to share the wonderful sights and history with our kids this trip! For those that have been, what did we miss that we should have seen?
Pucci isn't imitation of Gucci, but the hystorical designer Emilio Pucci of Florence. I have some fragrances from the 60s of Emilio Pucci. Gucci is another desigener.
Haha Pucci is name of the person that created that particular brand, just like Gucci is also just the name of the creator, similar to Ferrari or Armani, they're all just the name of the designer, lovely vlogs
That pizza place you went to at the end of the video was ran by people from the middle east, they weren't Italians. Rome has amazing pizza and in my opinion even better than Napoli. But stay away from these type of shops, instead go to a place called La Pratolina, make a reservation and try real roman pizza, it's mindblowing, you won't find it anywhere else in the world. If you want a quick pizza by the slice, go to a place called Bonci, it's close to the Vatican, they are one of the best pizza places in the world.
I'm sure there were definitely better places to go in Rome, and we should have had a better plan where to go after since this place was a disappointment. This was near the colluseum, and we were having trouble finding Slice places that looked good, and the kids were hungry, so we stopped at the first place we found. They shouldn't allow places like this in Italy to stay in business and tarnish their name! Thank you for the recommendation of Bonci, we will try it next time we're in Rome! ☺️ We went to the Vatican in 2018 as a couple but didn't go on this trip with the kids. Next time we're in Rome, we want to take the kids to see the Vatican and some better Pizza! We did have some amazing pizza and pasta in Tivoli, which is where we spent most of our time this trip!
I'm so sorry you had that experience! 😔 that would definitely spoil a trip! That is scary. Did the robbers have weapons? I know pick pockets are common, but I didn't hear of many robberies..😬
I've traveled all over Italy by myself, as a women, I've never had anything happen to me, I've felt more safe in italy than I did in London, Paris or anywhere in USA. I also highly doubt that it was actual Italians that did this, it was most likely people from north Africa or Arabs. They are a stain on Europe.
I traveled all over Italy by myself as a woman. I've never felt unsafe in italy, actually, I've felt way more safe in italy than places like London, Paris or anywhere in USA. Nothing ever happened to me in italy. I also highly doubt that they were actual Italians that did this. It was most like people from outside of Europe. They are a stain on the continent.

I loved the underground Colosseum tour at night! Totally different experience than the above ground tour in the day!

We were trying to go to the city center by Metro, and we were robbed 2 days ago. Stolen credit cards, documents, and cash. So our vacation is over.
