35:10 If you have the high ground on a Gjall and a Feather Cape, it is best to take it on from above, by jumping on its back. Also: No reason to put your Feather Cape off, if you have fire resist barley wine. It completely overrides the fire weakness with fire resist and the cape gives you extra armor.
I always feel like removing the cape is comparable to having the cape plus barely wine. My mental math is that if I have a weakness to fire (wearing the cape) and I take a wine that gives me resistance, it makes me overall neutral, which equals just taking the cape off. Obviously removing the cape AND taking the wine is the best in that case, but I don't always feel like "wasting" my potions. Im pretty sure the wines work to override resistances though like you mentioned.
@@WafflesGamesProbably "... removing the cape AND taking the wine is ... best ..." That is not correct: 1. Taking off the cape and consuming barley wine, you have: The armor of your pants, jacket and helmet + fire resistance. E.g. 100 armor and fire resist. 2. Leaving the cape on and consuming barley wine, you have: The same as above + a bit additional armor from the cape. E.g. 104 armor and fire resist. So a slight armor advantage.
@@WafflesGamesProbablyif you’re worried about saving on meads taking the cape off for one encounter is fine. But resistances have no stacking/reduction affect in this game. Taking barley mead + keeping the cape on is going to be most optimal as increased armor contributes to overall damage negation as well as having the very resistant to fire affect from the wine. Plus fall damage can be scary in the mistlands Something else to note if it’s raining you can save on the meads as you will have fire resistance from being wet
Oh my God. Brandon Sanderson is the best. I've read through the storm light archive fully about 3 times in the past two years, and I've been awaiting thus new one for so long.
One of the mods I use (forget which one) auto sorts items in chests if you click the place stacks, no need to click a thing. The only time it's an issue is if a chest is full. Pretty rare for me, as I increase stack sizes and chest rows and OCD organize 😅😂 Another awesome video. You two should do a holiday live one weekend, would be fun if you can coordinate it.
I just beat the Queen as a mage first time! I used the staff of the Wild, and staff of embers only. I did the ole' two idiots and got to the Ashlands via game of frogger hopping from one spiky rock to the next. It was hectic, but with Vananidir potions it was much easier. I think getting that staff would be a great weapon for glitchy during the Queen fight. It'd be great for crowd control

Heh when you mentioned a book you were engrossed by, my mind went IMMEDIATELY to Brandon Sanderson. So I'm glad you have excellent taste lol. I still need to read the latest Stormlight Archives myself.. I even met him a couple of times, he's a very entertaining panelist at cons, and went to a few of his book signings too.
Either of you two ever read any of the Saxon Saga novels by Bernard Cornwell ? Historical Fiction set in England circa 800ad during the Danish/Norse invasions of the British isles
I'd really like to watch you try to build a kinda functional base on the Ashlands. Some simple stuff, like, beds, some chests. Like a small keep y'know.
I binded my emotes to my numpad so I don't have to type the command. But then it ruined my OBS recording because Numpad 0 changes the scene and I forgot to set that.
Well I used to do health instead of stamina..but I realized that without a bubble I seemed to die anyway so stamina to fly like a fool would be better. :) or fly like a wind runner might be a better sanderson ref
Hahaha yeah!!! Brandon Sanderson. The Stormlight archive is a great place to start. But I'd say if you wanna test the waters of his style, read Warbreaker. It's a standalone novel that does tie into the Stormlight series, but as a standalone it's absolutely incredible.
28:11 This was great spot to clip in the "..So anyways, I just started blastin." meme from It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia.
we need to take Glitchy on a magic crash course I think, like a bunch of us just hot-house the guy until it clicks 🤣
I'm sure he'd be open to that if we asked nicely
i think glitchy might be allergic to the shield bubbles, he never uses the staff of protection
He is full battle mage at heart

@@WafflesGamesProbably they definitely do, feather cape plus barley wine equals fire resistance for sure. Also, fix yer wall!!! 😛

I was wondering where the bubbles were. "Oops i forgot"😊
It is too much fun being damage mage.

That's such a great idea! And yeah I bet the potion options really do make it much easier to hop those spikes!!

My fave way to deal with ticks is with a sledge.
I dont know what to say. I am baffeled with the "progress" you made in this episode. 😂
We did things!! Not every episode has to be filled with monumental progress! Haha next episode things get done I think.
Yes yes. It was just funny that you guys didnt even manage to get to the queen even her being so close 🤣

You just wait! Episodes are usually about 40 mins. But we record enough in one session for two episodes!

You could consider planting Yggdrasil Trees by your base (with Plant Everything, yes). I did mine and into Ashlands I STILL run out of the stuff.
My personal favorite mod is either Valheim armory or the therzie mods.

As a mage in askands...2 eitr foods and a stamina food?
Sorry for the random off topic ashlands question.
