It wouldn't come down more with Trump during this Presidency or the next because inflation is a macroeconomic indicator that is influenced by other countries as well. Our inflation has remained relatively steady, which is much better than Germany, Russia, Britain. Only China has better inflation than ours, but I don't trust the data necessarily.

He went to North Korea. He actually showed trust and crossed the DMZ with Kim, again opening up to potential peace negotiations.
Now we have a European war that we have to finance, a middle eastern war that we have to finance both sides, and an increasingly hostile DPRK that is again threatening to use nukes.

When it comes right down to it, people will look at their bank accounts and the quality of life in their households and their neighborhoods and vote accordingly. Most of the Dem policies enacted in the last 3.5 years have made the average taxpayers lives poorer, their neighborhoods unsafe, and they feel green policies are forcing them into decisions they disagree with. Not to mention, they see the never-ending persecution of the former President, under whom our country was doing very well, is all politically motivated, and it makes them ANGRY.
