It's really a shame that Hickey didn't come back in Season 6. He really played well off of the group and I felt like he and Abed had potential for some father-son moments.

No one here mentioned the genius use of a split diopter lens (which allows things at different distances from the camera to be in focus). You can tell because of the fact that (a) abed and hickey are both in focus despite being far apart and (b) there is a blurred area in the middle where the focus is lost. This allows us to focus on both hickey and abed, not relying on cuts or focus shifts.

My favorite part of this is that if you're keeping track of which goblin is which, the one that breaks because of his feelings for Lisa (and their love child) is not the one who just got married - it's the best man. That means that this scene isn't just about Hickey turning the goblins against each other. Abed actually invented lengthy in-depth backstories for these two goblins that involved an actual affair that the party could stumble onto. Never change, Abed.

I would watch the cast of Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul play D&D in character hosted by Abed.
(Maybe for charity, that Could feasibly be a thing.)

Realistically when you don’t have the flow of a tv show to worry about there would probably be more skill checks. If I were dming, it would be a persuasion or intimidation check after each round of interrogation to see how the goblins respond. Probably with advantage because the role playing was so badass. But it depends on the dm and how they like to run their game. But yeah you could totally do this and that’s why dnd is awesome!

@@unicornbiomes Mine said no because he didn't want to do the voices for the goblins and said he had to write a script of possible responses. I asked him if he could just improvise but he didn't like the idea.

@@unicornbiomes If someone role plays it this well I skip those roles. Roles are for things people can't do. If some guy describes to me perfectly how to make a pizza I don't make his character role a Profession cook check.
