I had a link and synchro summoner give up, all because I had a Marshmallon on the field. It was awesome.
This literally happened to me last night when I was playing. I just wanted to test a new deck build, but I had ti wait for his entire deck to be drawn. Wasn't even for exodia, it was for ONE just ok monster, then he messed up the last move and he retreated. 20 minutes for a free win was interesting tho.
Had the same thing happen to me. Turn 1 the guy messes up his combo right at the end and scoops. There was just 30 secs left on the timer.
Funny thing is that he still had a chance with his board.
@EarlAdrastos I had the same thing happen to me my opponent accidentally put one of the exodia legs on the field and gave me the turn the second I attacked it and sent it to the graveyard he quit it was hilarious cuz I knew what he was up to but he failed
Man yeah specially when they go first, they just OTK you like that and even when you not surender, you got no point.
The same thing happened to me. But after i watched all that, if i would losed to Exodia i will not even be mad because that was impressive, but i think he messed up something because he retreated and i win.

It's a regular thing in Yugioh, too. There are plenty of other loop-abusing ftk's (first turn kills) that have existed, too, like blue-blooded oni ftk and frog ftk. The problem is, hand-traps exist in the game, and the ftk's that are currently legal aren't viable in an actual tournament setting because of them.

Yeah, if I ever run exodia, I'll tend to see what their deck is then just FF if the deck is even remotely OTK possible. Or if it runs any good negates, like swordsoul/Fateful Adventure.
Just not worth the pain of sitting through it all for fuck all.
Yep, came across this deck once. Different player. Drew whole deck on turn 1. Knew it was a Exodia deck the moment Library was played but wanted to see them do it and not surrender.

@@sockosophie3132 the deck involves a lot of draw rng (surprisingly) and you can actually brick pretty easily. I've used this deck before and getting a really good hand to summon Exodia first turn is pretty rare. This deck does a good job of minimizing those bricks but it's still basically trial and error.
TL;DR: Mans just got HELLA lucky

@@combocentral the secret mission is for you gaining lp, not losing to exodia, just that exodia deck users normally have the cards to give you a bunch of LP as they search for exodia.

I ran this with 2x bamboo, 2x cursed, 3x golden, and 3 Dark World Dealings(to help unbrick by sending excess librarys or a broken TToC search). Got me my title and access to the secret missions in a couple of hours. Love this deck ☺️👍

Edit: Oh, and I use 3x Pseudo, no Terraforming & One Day of Peace instead of Mallet.

I've been training to use glad beasts first turn just for this. It worked 3/5 and they just surrender once I get the omni negate and domi out. That or just ashed when no opening. Also placed the spell fragrance for fun (mostly to stop invoke for 1 turn since IO also kills me)

Droll hand trap kills this deck. Instantly ff as soon as they see the hand trap.
Is more a mem deck than actually looking to win, there are many ways to shut it down, but yes, droll is one of them

I played a deck like this before and you either win or you pray your blue eyes ultimate dragon can save the game. That trick stars card that banishes your hand still haunts my nightmares

Exodia OTK: Chicken Game, Upstart Goblin, Magical Mallet ->
Summoner Monk -> Treasure Panda -> Flameveil + Exodia pieces -> (Link Spider + Halqifibrax)
TG Hyper Librarian -> Formula Synchron + Desynchro. Loop as long as you can, then go into Stardust Charge Warrior. Tro Wight to get 2 pieces and a Flameveil from the GY, then Saryuja Skull for more draw, as well as White Elephant's Gift (which combos with tri wight). Reasoning + Monster Gate gets it back up.
Recommend Obliterate!! + Legendary Exodia + Pot of Avarice in case your opponent picks correctly for reasoning, or if you have to monster gate your Forbidden one. Add the usual meta hand protection.
I brick every so often but...I do have a few OTK's in my replays now.
Went up against one of these last night on charmers and top decked hard enough to bully him into submission by going first.
He tried recovering twice, both times I said no.
This deck is amazing. I had a similar deck and couldn't get a win with 10+ matches, used this one and got 3 back to back wins right away. Thanks for this beautiful creation

I’ve theorized a Pseudo Space build where you can get all the benefits of Golden Castle of Stromberg with none of the drawbacks. Working on building and testing it in Legacy of the Duelist.

Tbh, I used to splash in that a double summon too, just to have an additionnal normal summon, et summon a second royal library for maximum drawing (and at least drawing a 2nd library wouldn't be a dead draw)

Some people really hold onto the idea that you will brick or blunder or they can save themselves. I’ve sat through 40+ turns with a crooked cook exotic deck watching the opponent just bang their head against that wall trying every single card they have to attack or get rid of it. They seem to think that even if they can’t beat it sooner or later I’ll run out of cards and they will win.

The great thing about FTK decks is that you either get a free win if they brick, or you give them dopamine as they approach the "Demon" title, or from simply FTKing (since they've almost certainly bricked many times before this)

I run a similar deck but also use Into the Void, Magical Stone Excavation and Card of Demise with Piri Reis Map to search Library more often

More times than not, if you ash blossom the trade-in or cards of cons (basically any card that draws 2) they run out of steam and are unable to draw their whole deck. At that point, you can safely rely on exodia being exodia (where the last piece is almost always one of the last three cards).
Not true on the fact that -2 kill necessarily block the deck...they can anyway draw the whole deck(I garantee it) i even won once with exodia after they immediately impermanenced my librarian on turn 1... bamboo sword is garbage there are better versions and mine is not even the best(I don t want craft more URs)
I play more or less the exact same deck as this and I can say with utter certainty that for every game he shows here there are 10 more with bricked hands turn 1 that's just the nature of exodia :sob:

I recently went up against Exodia deck that was different. My opponent made the mistake by setting their Royal Magical Library. Luckily I was able to beat them before all the pieces were in their hand. It was a long duel. They also had sangan to search out some of the pieces.
And pot of greed is a menace for yugioh since the beginning

Played against this same deck recently, got his Library banished courtesy of Baledroch only had 4 cards left in hand, two being broken bamboo and golden bamboo. Tried attaching broken to Baledroch and I managed to send him to graveyard, ended up bricking himself.

Back before the big 05 ban I made a magical library butterfly dagger iron knight draw your entire deck and win deck and alot of ppl were quite mad about it 😂 was a shame when they banned the dagger and all the other main powerful staples . Still have the deck to this day
The only FTK I will go for is Exodia solitaire just to spite those meta slaves and make them see how it feels when we have to watch them play solitaire for god knows how long
