Hello, I have a 5600X and a 1070. I would like to upgrade to a 7900XT with a resolution of 1440. Is there a bottleneck? Or should I upgrade to 5800X3D?

you can leave the processor and just install a new video card, everything will be fine

You will be fine upgrading but that is about the max your cpu can handle and down the road you will want to upgrade your CPU before you get anything better than the 7900xt.

I paired ryzen 5600 with rtx 3070, most of the games we're fine except helldivers 2 where you could really feel that ryzen was holding gpu back with mostly 60 fps in 1440p. I upgraded to ryzen 5800x3d with made my fps go to 100 fps, so I would say that 7900 xt will be bottlenecked unless you upgrade to 5800x3d.

Bad GPU design and energy efficency, AMD ve allways been really bad at it
