I never played the original. But from a new comer this game absolutely blew me away. I played Criss Core, and always loved that game. Which, apparently not enough diehard FF7 fans have played. I been clambering for a Remake like this. Playing it felt like they gave me what I wanted to see what long time veterans have cherished from the original. And for the most part, they were happy to see how this remake lived up to the heart of the original in a modern light. While new comers are receiving something entirely special that they missed out. Remake Part ll is now one of my most anticipated games.
I absolutely love this game so it is very special to me to be able to watch the highlights from your playthrough. Thank you for saving this footage and taking the time to cut such an entertaining video together.
Fun fact: Cloud has never danced before. Note those Hexagons are on the main menu, the official art of every single FF VII game in the compilation (after the OG). They represent genetic memories. It's like he also steals the motorcycle moves from Roche.

I’ve never played the original game, but I’ve played through the Remake literally 8 times. It’s amazing, there’s just something about it that keeps bringing me back. Not to mention the countless times I’ve watched other people’s play through. Edit: Chapter 9 and 16 were my favorite parts of the game. And I don’t know what it is, but I absolutely fell in love with Aerith.

That "cocktail making" always crack me up, she pour yellow liquor in the shaker and nothing else and Cloud end up with yellow liquor in his glass, and then, she shakes the same shaker again and then the liquor turn red and she call it "cosmo canyon", girl, that's not how you make cocktail!
I'll see if I can find it again but, Someone did indeed make a version where Cloud is wearing a dress the whole time😌 (there's also a version of him in a honey girl outfit😉)
I played the demo on the pro. I have always been interested in "Final Fantasy games,they're so many and I it's legendary in gaming history. I've learned so much about the game from "Strange Rebel Gaming and "Maximilian Dood on there channels. I actually just bought the "PS5 version that came with the dlc installed. Great video 💐👏
The whole thing with Wedge calling Cloud "bro," not only does he see it as overly familiar in the English version, but in Japanese, wedge is weirdly formal with Cloud, the only one really calling him "-san," and referring to him as "aniki," which is a formal honorific. I know it primarily as used for an elder, more experienced (and possibly higher ranked) member of the same Yakuza family. So depending on versions, it's either overly familiar or overly formal. Either way, Cloud isn't comfortable with it. I feel like the Japanese version is a little less rude to keep doing it because he's kind of insisting on formality as a term of respect.
The first time I played the game, I was sure that Sephiroth was talking about Cloud's mom when he said the "The shiver of her flesh, yielding to cold steel" line but something occurred to me later: he's probably talking about when he killed Aerith in the original game. That makes that line even more chilling.
The reason why “hardcore FF7” fans haven’t played Crisis Core is because FF7 is a self contained story that’s character driven with an ensemble cast. Not to mention it was released four years after FFX-2 and there wasn’t a huge amount of hype about a prequel to FF7 that was an entirely new game genre. The world in FF7 is made interesting because of how the great characters interact with it. The characters themselves are great because of how they interact with each other. The story of Cloud is boring without Tifa anchoring him to his past or Arieth bringing out his humanity. The characters breathe life into a world, which is why I have never been interested in any ancillary FF7 media besides the original but love the Re-make/birth stories. Hope this helps.
Yeah, the remake did many things right but the biggest thing was fleshing out all the characters. In the original, after the plate was dropped, I only felt for Barret because we never really got to know Jessie, Biggs or Wedge but he knew them well. This time, I had to stop playing for a few minutes after Biggs(did not foresee the ending) and nearly a half hour after Jessie. Hell, this game made me get attached to Johnny.
I've watched a lot of peoples playthroughs and you immediately caught my attention right from the moment you called Aerith Aeris and knew that we were being shown scenes of Nibelheim burning because obviously you know your stuff and it's reactions from veteran players of FFVII that I love seeing in these videos, unfortunately it's too jarring for me to watch this video skipping from scene to scene but I'm going to give it a like anyway as I think watching your entire playthough would have been one of the best I'd ever seen but sadly I'm guessing you will have deleted all of your footage by now so we'll never get to see it in full 😭
She did. Since she didn’t get the best dress she didn’t get the cutscene. Kind of confused why she did all the side quests for chapter 3, but not chapter 8…
