The kills are fun and campy, and the plot of the game itself is creative enough to be distinct from the media it references. Friday the 13th, Halloween, Psycho, and the king of slashers himself, Wes Craven, were all homages I enjoyed seeing in the game.

im only 15 minutes in and i already know the inspirations behind it and it is executed phenominally. its giving me stephen king, a bit of wes craven, terrifier and little shop of horrors as well. this is amazing!
Random comments about different moments and other stuff about this game: The sprite art style is pretty alright but damn does animation really alleviate it too. Pretty smooth and expressive animations even on the walking animations too. I like how a random boss fight orchestra just comes out of nowhere in the weirdest choice too. (at least the other times were more fitting) Love that a lot of references are made to all sorts of Horror media. The Terrifier reference is obvious and especially the Friday the 13th ones too. Really enjoyed the Smile (2022) reference near the end there too. Aslo the little mechanic at the Teddy Bossfight at his mansion is really cool its simple but I liked that they implemented it at elast.
Since Teddy is wearing a legcuff, I assume he actually survived Ashley's gunshots and ended up in prison. He looks like he's wearing a torn prison uniform - or maybe that's just his old clown costume. But as a mass murderer, he must have gone through many trials before his final execution, which must have given him enough time to get this swole. Either way, I'm a little surprised though that, as a mass murderer, he was given a grave at all - especially one with a gravestone that has his name on top of it. But what a great game with great design, details, sound and music! Rose is roasting, lol
it's stated in the game multiple times that Ashley killed him and even if it wasn't the whole idea of all that happening to him in under a year (and the authorities somehow not noticing he's possessed by a clown mask at any point) makes no sense anyway...

Was kind of thinking it would’ve been cool if a zombified Max had become somewhat of a sidekick for Teddy, or if Ashley had been able to trap Teddy with bear traps, Max could’ve come and eaten him. And maybe by eating Teddy, Max could be unzombified? -Also, for some reason, when I saw that the cabins were named after animals, my first thought was that they were keeping animals in them. And when you went into the beaver cabin and checked all the rooms, I kept thinking why they would need bunk beds and bathrooms for beavers. But then I mentally facepalmed, because I felt so stupid for not realizing sooner that the cabins weren’t really for animals.- I guess I just don’t like games where animals die… :(
It kind of ruins games for me. I don't find animals dying to be scary. All I can think is that it's a cheap trick to disturb the audience and it ruins my mood.

I like how teddy just ripped off his skin and mask and those tentacles came out of him like a tailed beast from naruto. That was quite the face off.
But then I mentally facepalmed, because I felt so stupid for not realizing sooner that the cabins weren’t really for animals.-
I guess I just don’t like games where animals die… :(
It kind of ruins games for me. I don't find animals dying to be scary. All I can think is that it's a cheap trick to disturb the audience and it ruins my mood.
as if a murderous tentacle eldritch clown isn't a cheap trick?? also if it ruined your mood it clearly disturbed you to some extent, so i'd say mission accomplished. @@aliceiscalling
Dawg, I don't know how else to say this.. but I relate to your brain on a dangerous level lol
And yeah, it's always a bummer when an animal dies or gets hurt in these sorts of things. It never feels scary, nor does it appease the morbid curiosity. It's just sad and unnecessary imo
i remember you playing the demo and i agree.. it was a huge map. i feel bad for teddy because he just wanted to sell ice cream as a clown.. can’t wait to watch the rest!! :3
normally i watch all of your videos. but this game just looks so good i'll have to play it myself
What a sweet treat - thank you for playing Terror At Oakheart!
Thank YOU for gracing us with it!
Are you the creators of this game?
@@aarongallardo3684 we are the publishing team, but we work closely with Michael from @TaintedPact :)
Beautiful game, massive Lakeview Cabin vibes:)
I’m so glad the dog survives
NOOOOOOOOOO
Gave me vibes of IT (Both Clown and Alien from space), Friday 13th, Resident Evil, Dead Space, and a few others.
So glad to see this game release! I wonder if that edritch space horror was just calmy waiting for a full year for teddy to come back and it took a full year for him to check on where he was. Though i guess it was growing. I like how when you pass ethans remains Ashley doesnt change her expression until you turn to face it and get a proper look at it. I love the eerie music as the sheriff goes around shooting the corpse monsters. Love that he never took his sunglasses off. I like how teddy just ripped off his skin and mask and those tentacles came out of him like a tailed beast from naruto. That was quite the face off. But it makes sense on why he was so swole for a year old corpse. Love the ar it was amazing and teddys kills were really well done.
I like that the playroom was just plush toys for the monster. Its cool that they even had a minigame in this. Really like overall experience.
i am surprised in the prologue the eldritch god didn't say "wake up , time to put on a little makeup." such missed opportunity
The kill animations really are something in this game, literally made me feel sick :‘)
You have a really weak stomach then
@@Indy_Bendywhy'd you feel the need to comment that on my 7 month old comment, what should I do with that, what do you want me to do about my weak stomach Bendy
@april2664 why are you so sensitive to a comment you could've easily ignored?
@@Indy_Bendy Bendy Bendy. Don't write comments when you're not actually prepared someone answers you. Also it makes you look kind of silly to pull the "wHy So sEnsiTivE" card here when you started being the obnoxious one and also you could have ignored my answer just as easily lol. You silly bean :3
@@april2664 why are you so offended I commented? I'm curious
"That's a shocking conclusion." Really got me for some reason.
this gives off camp sunshine vibes right off the bat
Oh nice the full version. Always look forward to these 80’s style slasher games.
clowns will do anything but go to therapy
I just had a long night at UPS, thank you Manly.
This was pretty neat. I appreciate all the nice pixel art. If I had one complaint, it's that the clown theming of Teddy seems pretty pointless, since he just becomes a Thing/Jason combo instead.
I always hate it when a horror thing kills a dog. I never feel scared, I just feel sad.
And yet you eat animals everyday because they aren't considered the "cute" ones
@@shaunvalentines4252 awful lot of assumptions there pal. Do you make a habit of judging people based off what you decided they do?
@@shaunvalentines4252i mean cows are kinda adorable and i still eat those
@@shaunvalentines4252 Dawg, you don't even know if OP's an omnivore or not. Really out here drawing your own conclusions about random strangers, and then proceed to get offended by *your own* assumptions of them lmao
That's a wackass hill to die on but you do you I suppose lol

1+ hour uploads are the greatest things to happen to me
Lots of clown works lately. The Honkmother is pleased.
This dude is the type of guy who would take the roleplay of a villain voice actor
getting splatterhouse vibes from the start of it. an strangely billy and mandy the brain episode with a voltaire song in it.
I like Mr. Tops sprite design. And the designs of the powers and levels look cool!
I love that manly puts so much character into the voices.
Great vid as always
This play through deserves more views. This was an awesome game to watch and you did a great playthrough.
As I cop I must aspire to be as badass as the sheriff. I’ve never even held a flamethrower.
The absolute disbelief in manly's voice when he reads chapter three's title is amazing
Ooh finally. Been waiting for this one. Good stuff. Liked and shared. 😊
I just wanted to say, that when I said, "Watermeloned!" out loud, and then Manly said it a few seconds after...that made me smile. 😂
Manley is on that clown grind lately
Poor teddy brother man just wanted to sell ice cream
Holy shit manly is so good at the voices in this one
Manly is clowning around again!
This game looks so well animated.
That indeed was good 80's type of horror, fully agreed with Manly
There was a TON of references in both the main game and the mini-game. ( Obviously more references in the main game than the mini-game but still. ) Like what the dev did with this.
a horror fan who gets the references is defiantly the best type of person to be lets playing this game
I appreciate Russel's sprites reflecting muzzleflash, and even reflecting weapon light differently depending on weapon!
I like how everyone walks with such authority
Lily really got the silent hill treatment
Your commentary is legitimately one of the best things I heard in my life
loving sleeping to your videos & watching them
Glad I'm not the only one 😴
This game is so awesome!!!! The attention to detail was so amazing. I hope they make more games. I really enjoyed this animation style. It was so nice.
I sure hope the Terrifier series (which clearly inspired this, among other horror icons) incorporates eldritch horror into its lore, since Art the Clown is heavily implied to be supernatural in nature.
And yes, this game has big Splatterhouse vibes, love it!
One other thing: correct me if I'm wrong but i believe the name Ashley Lawrence is the actress who portrayed the protagonist of the original Hellraiser!
"Looks like you had to split."
Hahahahaha... Damn it Manly.
1:08:38 I like how he full on punched her before the monster was like WAIT A SECOND I WANT HER ALIVE DONT KILL HER
This game is really cool where you play as basically everyone and it really feels like an 80s slasher flick like it's probably going for.
18:43 Wrong answer!
The correct answer is: "I'll just leave it to Beaver."
2:53
I like the way he says that lol
I live for the day Manly makes an obvious jjk reference
The sprite work and animation is great, man. I love it. This game deserves much more attention.
Good old Postmortem GAINS!!!!
The fact that the actually bothered to make the dial sound effect realistic like the long sweep to get to 9 then 2 shorter sweeps for 1
I like to imagine the scenes where Manly talks as Teddy in the mask he's actually wearing a clown mask.
It's finally time, it's been a while since I watched the demo and the game has got my interest since then, also the music is what I love the most that 80's horror movie synth-wave organ
Thanks manly so excited to see u drop a vid as I’m looking for a new one from u
Lowkey I was specifically waiting for THIS GUY to play thru the full game. I played the demo shortly after watching the video he made on it and now that I bought the full game, I became obsessed with the 80s retro horror style
I'm surprised nobody has compared this game to the Terrifyer movies
Its 1 am and i can always rely on manly to keep my wandering mind filled with noise xD thank you for all you do. It may just seem like only video games but your videos are my inspiration and my reason to snuggle tight with my blankets and sleep well!!! XD thats not all. You are awesome. Keep being awesome. Every upload is a new journey for me and my dishes xD ❤❤❤❤❤
Reminds me of Happyhills Homicide. Also, love the music in this. Very 80s horror inspired
Does this video hold the record for the most amount of times Manly said, "You're gonna burn alright."?
