This is a great idea but you have to also be mindful of the 1% difference between front and rear for the Xdrive. We’re both in NYC and I did 255/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear on Michelins AS4s
You have to. The factory tires look great, practicality under realistic driving conditions is a different story. I'm thinking about going to 255/40(front) and 285/35(rear) to allow for more expansion. I think the wheel well has enough space for the larger tire size you mentioned but not so sure about my setup.
@@skillz1855, bet appreciate it your the second person that said going 255/40 and 285/35 messes up the drive. I’m going to just upgrade to a 245/40 and 275/35 (increase only aspect ratios and not width), people that do this have had no issues on forums
Am thinking about changing my existing OEM 245/35r20 front and 275/30r20 rear to 245/40r20 front and 275/35r20 on stock rim F06 650i but concern about rubbing. Already changed 5 tires on the OEM setup due to side wall bulging over the past 2 years.

Do you have any pictures? Did this setup fill the wheel gap out more? Or make the tires look wider ?

I think this would work. I might go for this setup instead
Hey did either of you end up upgrading your tire size? Need to get new tires and want to go with one of these higher profile setups
It throws off the front diff ratio, I tried it. Carrls feel funny under hard acceleration. Went back stock

This is exactly why last year I went for thicker tires
Bro i got 21" on my M550i with 295/25/21 tires on the back and in the front 255/30/21 or 255/35/21 im not so sure
Have you tried 245/40r20 front and 275/35r20 rear yet?
Not yet 😅

Yeah that would help a lot!!
I have 19” 664M’s on my M550 up here in MA and there’s no way I could deal with 20’s with the condition of the roads and weight of the car.
Dude it’s tough out here in New York. I think it’s better to get monster truck tires instead🤣
By the way we have the same car and color!
