In Danbury CT, Iacobellis stopped on his way to an arrest of a private security guard for the assault he witnessed on video, when he stopped to make/take a phone call. After the call, he coached the statement of the criminal and arrested the victim instead. He sacrificed his oath for the promotion he soon received. The incident culminated in a 9 day infraction trial. Complete with perjury and a planted judge. The perjurer city clerk and the mayor just lost their elections, after being exposed for the criminals they are. The police and judiciary there are still criminals.

@albertjohnwood I agree. He was smart enough to rap off statutes pertaining to law, but the end game the cops won. The cops prevented him from staying in the building and also told him the employees were uncomfortable with his camera. He needed to express himself with just a tad of dominance and make more of a demand. I hope he opened an IA invest with the cops department besides executing a complaint at the governers office about the states workers refusing to cooperate. He sounded bright but needed a bright backbone to hold his head high.

Not to condone the police actions(or lack of action) or the agency official, but to bring to light the overly massive number of laws that are on the books. The government has gone so far above the simplicity of the country's founding laws, that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to follow them all. The government is the victim of its own bloating of bureaucracy. Unfortunately, the laws are there and when police REFUSE to perform their duty, they are violating their Oath of Office which if found to be guilty, can result in the revocation of the officer's policing certificate which means he can NOT continue to BE a police officer.

Yet even when armed with the law on our side they still willfully defy and refuse to obey the law. Why? Because there is really nothing WE can do about it. And those whose job it is to enforce the law says it isn't their job to enforce the laws. So law enforcement doesn't enforce the laws and has no obligation to the safety of the public. Why are they still getting tax dollars. Defund, abolish and replace.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Yes, I know that it appears to be an uphill battle that can't be won. With cameras and the internet many of us are learning our rights daily. I know that I am studying hard so that no cop thinks that he will get a free ride on my rights. Philip Turner knew his rights and helped change case law by himself. The alternative is to not know your rights and get walked on. Filming the police used to be unheard of but now it is becoming commonplace. So, while it is an uphill battle, by filming each encounter and knowing your rights you will at least be as well equipped as the rest of us.@@ygrittesnow1701
