I hadn't heard of anyone that had a problem with OUR until the movie came out and was successful. Not long after there is allegations against him. Who knows, but it seems like someone wants him silenced. There's a lot of rich evil people who don't want trafficking to go away.

Do your research. The allegations, the investigation and Tim being pushed out of O.U.R all happened before the movies release. If they wanted to stop Tim they would have done it when he first started putting his face and name out there as being the one taking them down. Not after he's no longer doing it.

Agree wholeheartedly. I have been following OUR for years and heard nothing. Now all this!? After the movie!? Oh yes, rich people in high places who don’t want their cover blown. Prince Andrew. And Jeffery Epstein didn’t off himself, he was “taken care of” there is a YT video where an inmate who was on the same floor, talks about it. How it would have been impossible without the work of high up influential figures. Secret combinations 🤫🫢

The only problem I ever had with OUR was that one of the original board members was Mitt Romney's son. Anything a Romney touches is suspect to me. That said, I do believe a smear campaign is going on against Tim Ballard because Sound Of Freedom got so much attention.

This is how the press traditionally works. Anonymous sources have broken many many stories. Now, we can't say guilty or not at this point. We're far from it. However, keep in mind that anonymous sources have always played a critical role.

If I was these women I would stay anonymous too. I imagine they will be pretty embarrassed for being so naive. Hard to explain to their husband, children, parents, Bishop etc. These women were most likely victims of it all too. People have been questioning for years how many children these operations have actually "saved". This puts a big black mark against any good that might have been done. Shameful.

@@bkgoulding if these women are still working undercover, I can understand that they need to remain anonymous. It's just suspicious that these accusations are being made public at this particular time. • @RichardChappell1
      @RichardChappell1 ปีที่แล้ว +20

It's one thing for anonymity to identify and develop a story. Once you create specific allegations and name names, anonymity is no longer good enough. That's where the problem is. Telling a convincing story does not make it credible, it just makes it convinving. One of the biggest problems is that Vice, who has supposedly been working on this article, is only giving bits out at a time. That makes the information "common," and so everyone is essentially corroborating everyone else - all off of the bits and pieces. I've now heard two different anonymous interviews from people alleged to be part of the missions, and the data is general enough that I could probably tell a similar story not knowing anything about it.
It's easy to suggest the women didn't file any formal complaints and hid the info for several years because they were embarassed, but it could also mean that they've just formulated a story based on bits they experienced and adding to it bits they've heard over time.
Half the nation is still convinced Brett Kavenaugh committed rape - with no eveidence whatsoever, and contradictory testimony.
The pattern is just too obvious anymore.

So why the need to protect their identity? They should be put under the same level of scrutiny that Tim has been. As someone who has been targeted by anonymous “witnesses” they are not reliable at all. If they have had a crime committed against them take it to the authorities give them the evidence and make sure the perpetrators are convicted of the crimes. Or if this isn’t a crime but a moral sin take it to the proper church authorities and let them take care of it according to their guidelines. Taking it to the untrustworthy media and trying to get someone judged by the court of public opinion is cowardly and shows the weakness of their argument. It also shows their intent is not justice but just the desire to destroy a person’s reputation.
Bottom line if a crime or moral sin has been committed take it to the proper authorities first.

Regardless I still don’t think the Church should’ve publicly “whipped” Tim Ballard without describing why… I’ve been the recipient of unrighteousness dominion by a 70 so I know that politics and wrongdoing can occur at high levels… doesn’t make the Church any less true we have to give grace to imperfect leaders and fellow humans… but there needs to be consequences for bad behavior. They didn’t do this with the member of the 70 that was excommunicated a few years ago… it just isn’t right because this effects Tim’s innocent family too.
I just continue to hear the words of Heber C Kimball ringing in my head nowadays….
“I want to say to you, my brethren, the time is coming when we will be mixed up in these now peaceful valleys to that extent that it will be difficult to tell the face of a Saint from the face of an enemy to the people of God. Then, brethren, look out for the great sieve, for there will be a great sifting time, and many will fall; for I say unto you there is a test, a Test, a TEST coming, and who will be able to stand? This church has before it many close places through which it must pass before the work of God is crowned with victory. To meet the difficulties that are coming it will be necessary for you to have knowledge of the truth of this work for yourselves. The difficulties will be of such character that the man or woman who does not possess this personal knowledge or witness will fall. If you have not got the testimony, live right and call upon the Lord and cease not ‘till you obtain it. If you do not, you will not stand. ”

It also could be that Tim Ballard is not the man you think he is. His former employees are revealing quite a different Tim than the public figure we all came to know and love. If a fraction of what is coming out is true, Tim deserved this public rebuke from the Brethren.

Given the allegations, it sounds like OUR didn't explain what would be required well enough. That sounds to me like a grave error, but not necessarily predatory or malicious.
If the allegations are true, then I'd probably reserve judgment until we know how proactively Tim recruited these women, if he did at all, or if they came of their own volition. The church, its leaders (Q15) and their handlers/spokespeople should be the gold standard when it comes to living the doctrine of Christ and setting the example of what that looks like. If Pres. Ballard felt inclined to end his friendship with Tim because he felt Tim was acting inappropriately than I would have hoped he contacted Tim and discussed it with him. If Tim has acted inappropriately and broke covenants his priesthood leaders should have been notified and actions taken. Tim has spoken that he has done no wrong. After watching that video of her and Tim describing some of their undercover experiences, I immediately told my wife that the accusers were probably good LDS members wanting to help rescue kids and also have a thrilling experience or two. I've spent many years in the military and working, as a civilian, for the military. Most life long LDS women, including my wife, have no idea at all, just how immoral our fellow man and woman can be. Having your eyes opened to those realities in a undercover situation that is way more dangerous and intimidating than you were prepared for is probably a huge shock. I would like to know how eager and confident these women were, when they were trying to convince O.U.R. that they could handle the job. However, I struggle to believe that anyone who presents themselves to try to go undercover to infiltrate a group that relishes child pornography and child sexual exploitation, where those you are trying to expose have all kinds of money, drugs, and weapons at there fingertips, would credibly be able to claim they expected the BYU honor code to govern all of the undercover situations they would encounter.
If the men and women going undercover to infiltrate the ranks of these kind of people are embarrassed by child or adult sexual deviance maybe they should have volunteered for fundraising efforts instead.
I just have a hard time believing those seeking to infiltrate that group would be so naive.
That said, if there were other men also going undercover with the "spouse rouse" whether it was similar to what Tim is accused of and whether there really was a need for that angle to infiltrate or go undercover. Tim had the federal agency experience, and should have known the better ways to what was best to do.

No, the women are claiming Tim groomed and manipulated them. The claims aren’t even about the couples ruse out in the field. It’s about Tim telling them his psychic and Elder Ballard approved the oral he was asking them to perform on him to test the “chemistry”. This isn’t about training. This is about sick, deep sexual exploitation.

It’s going to be really hard to convince most people that visiting strip clubs, getting lap dances, taking pills, sleeping in the same bed together, getting massages together, and even showering together is necessary to save children. He has admitted to all of these things, but says it was necessary. Contrary to what he says, there are many other organizations that have been saving people from human trafficking for years, and they do not use these tactics.

    Great video, Greg.
As someone who has been involved with many high-energy characters throughout my life and been in their “orbit” so to speak, I tend to appreciate how flawed these types tend to be more than most. Great men are virtually always capable of great misdeeds as well. They often win big and fail bigger. That said, I’ve also witnessed pettiness and jealousy cloud the judgement of otherwise good people and allow that to paint things in an obscured way (such as Tim’s accusers).
I think it’s folly to allow the observations of folks on the sidelines to wholly dismiss the good that Ballard has done with OUR. Virtually all of his main critics have done exactly zero to end child trafficking. To include the Church and MRB specifically. I’m sure Tim screwed up, maybe even a lot.
If I had a child gone missing and being potentially trafficked, I can’t imagine a universe where I could look at a Tim Ballard and see him as anything other than my kid’s potential hero.

It might also be awkward with the 10 Migrant Welcome Centers operated by the church. Thousands are processed thru these. We have been told that only family units are housed there.
Estimates are that 40-60% of the so-called family units contain children not related to the adults 🤔🤔. Back in May, when DNA tests were required, so-called family units would scatter like flies when given the opportunity to give DNA proof. IMO the Church has great exposure here. Amateurs should NOT be involved with these operations. I support Tim Ballard, but he shouldn't consider using innocent and amateur participants (I'm guessing there are religious followers). Narrow and straight followers of Christ who are as innocent as the driven snow shouldn't volunteer for these operations. Of course the evil one will seek to compromise oneself any way he can. Support Tim's efforts by leaving this to the professionals who voluntarily made the life choice to fight evil in a Telestial manner.

Tim did an interview with an operative who really for sure did this rouse with Tim. She was a professional actress and the interview made it sound like she was the only woman Tim would do this because of her skills as an actress. They had certain rules of things beforehand that why wouldn't do together like kissing.
I find it odd Tim would ever go undercover with a regular woman because their acting skills could get them killed

In short, there are two sides, two teams of women: Those who side with Tim and those, as you said, "Feel they have been taken advantage of!"
It's hard to imagine that Tim didn't make it clear to these women, multiple times, that the operations were risky and could put them in very difficult or even unforseen situations! If that's the case, did these women sign on to that risk or possibility and embrace it!?!?

Excellent video. You are handleing this issue well for someone not trained in special operations. For background, I am a retired infantry officer, Airborne, Ranger, Special Forcess who has commanded an SF A-Team. Special Ops is a dirtry, dark world. To succeed, gain the trust of the villions you are targeting, you have to pass for the evil people. This is dark, dirty work. I would not ask any woman nor man to do it. You can tell people what will happen, but until they experience it, it is a game with out reality. Reality can be a rude awakening. I have no dought that several people who have been involved in these operations are still in "shell shock". My wife of 52 years, who lived through my career had no idea about it still does not comprehend SF or or Special Operations. That Tim Ballard has experienced all of the evil that he has and has maintained this testimony and Spirit is amazing. (As an asside, I have been and still am a worthy temple recommend holder)
I do not believe that the Church should sponsor showcase Tim or OUR. It is not the Church's mission because it must operate in the shadows. The problem is the Church was all to happy to associate with Tim and OUR, to include in carring them on the Church's website. This set up the current Church delema. Satan, the master of deception, took advantage of this and Doug Anderson, the Director for Church Media, exploited the problem with the hit piece. I have to believe that Anderson, a 15 year veteran of jungle media wars, knew what he was doing and as a loyal liberal minion who hates Tim and doesn't want to see him in the Senate, used this oportunity to deliver the hit.

You appear to be very worried about this topic and what you know that we don’t know. Now you got me thinking the worst. I just can’t imagine anything being worse than selling kids for sex or organs. Imagine if we investigated FBI and CIA agents about their roles in undercover operations. We don’t know their religions. Because Tim is LDS he is obviously being held to a very high standard. Most of the works could care less about standards. So, is this about destroying him and his intentions to run for Senate? It is very shady. I will wait for the whole story, but most of us don’t believe the media anymore. This is heartbreaking.

Greg, i think you are doing much more harm than good interviewing these women. You are not a detective or investigator and you are just making things so much worse because there are people who will just think that since you think these women are credible, they must be. There is a difference between someones perception of what happened and the facts. A detective may be able to see through that theough much experience. They can also check bank records of these women to see if they are being paid for their story and obtain video of operations, etc that you cannot. Do NOT make things worse for this family.

This helps sheds some light on what could be going on with what I've been hearing from Eric Moutsos, a former cop who's now a social media influencer from Utah, lately. He says he spoke with 4 alleged victims of Tim Ballard, but has yet to give any details. Now I'm thinking that these 4 were actually involved in these couple ruses perhaps. It can be a good approach to avoid being put in morally compromising situation when under cover, but I can also see how things can go south real quick using a strategy like this.
