Sweet Lexi passed away today at the age of 8 from kidney failure. Thank you for all of your love and likes. Knowing that many of you came back over and over to see my little “guilty” baby warms my broken heart. You made her live on forever!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Saw lil Lexys' guilty video. She was such a cutie pie. So sad to read that she passed away. Losing a wonderful pet makes the heart ache so badly. I hope the joy of her memories brings a smile to your heart.

I have one and it's trying to kill me. I never knew I was allergic to dogs until I got my runt Seren.
Dogs do that even if they aren't guilty, though. They're just trying to submit to appease your anger, most of the time they have no idea what they're being punished for.

I remember seeing this video when it first blew up, Lexi melted my heart. I had just gained my love for Corgis and seeing her acting guilty confirmed that they were indeed my favourite breed of dog. Fly high, little Lexi 💔

Hello my friends.
Our sweet corgi Lexi has brought a smile to literally millions of you at this point and we couldn't be more grateful for the views. To know Lexie is to know that she is always at the top of the stairs to greet us and wants nothing more than to play, get tummy rubs and be your best friend.
About a week ago she stopped eating and started sleeping more. We obviously became worried and took her in to the vet. After some blood work and an ultrasound it was determined that she has Cushing's Disease and Acute Kidney Injury. These both are no good and she is now in the hospital beginning treatment in hopes for a recovery. The doctors feel good that after some treatment she might be able to go back to a normal life. Please let this be true!
Obviously this diagnosis and treatment is not without expense, and expensive it is. We are already into this $3,000 and more on the way. I know some of you might be wondering why I would ever put this much into a dog, while others of you may not even blink an eye at the thought. Several years ago we had a dog suddenly get very sick and we ended up in a situation where surgery was going to be around $3k. We were also told that there were very grim chances that it would work. After a heartbreaking conversation we chose to put our dog down. It has haunted me every since. I simply cannot do it again. I also believe that Lexi has several years of good life ahead of her. She's only 7!
If you can help in anyway to offset this rather large bill, we would be forever grateful. We of course hope that we never have to do something like this again and we are hopeful through the doctor's prognosis that Lexi will have several more years of love to give and many belly rubs to receive!!!

It’s actually very classic dog behavior. She can tell the alpha, her owner, is upset so she rolls over and shows her stomach to submit. I think that’s a good sign this guy is a great dog owner.

Greg, I feel your pain at the loss of Lexi from kidney failure. I lost my adorable Bailey ( Corgi) at 7 yrs old from poison she ingested on a walk. The pain is always with us. Thank goodness for the great memories.

She is not playing sausage, she is showing you her softest and most vulnerable spot (stomach) to show submission. This is very common in dog body language when dog does that to avoid fighting with another dog.

Laying down and exposing the belly is dog language for "I submit to you. You are the pack leader. I am so beneath you I will let you attack my defenseless belly." This is pretty much universal canine behavior. Lexi here probably doesn't know specifically that tearing up the grass was bad, but she knows that you, the Alpha, are angry with her.
Very true. What is very important to know is how much I love my dogs. This was the first time she had ever shown her "submission" and I just had to film it. While I do like them to know that I am the alpha, they know that I care for them deeply. As soon as she got inside I assure you she was smothered with the love and kisses such a sweetheart deserves!
