@@DesertMoon Pembroke Welsh corgis are usually red or tricolor apart from the standard orangish brown. however, cardigans do often come in blue merle. It is pretty common actually (for a cardigan, not so common for a pembroke) :)
It is actually because of a genetic defect called merle. This can also cause blindness, deafness and severe impaired balance. It is really sad and a lot of people are not educated about this :(

Training is VERY important. This is an example of a spoiled little brat. My corgi (7 months F), are by no means, an angel, but we trained her to behave at most, if not all times. Why people can’t put the effort to train their own dogs, is beyond me. Kudos to your mom for being a champ for handling Karen’s spawns.

Blue eyes always look more open because we are used to brown eyes. The blue tends to blend with the white of their eyes enough to us that our initial instinctive response is that their eyes are open wider

Dogs can learn words, especially commands, and are exceptionally good ad recognizing emotions through tone of voice. Even if she doesn't understand the words theirself, she understands the situation.

Our Winston was ten handfuls as a puppy, always planning his next mischievous move but now at 3 years old he is fine. Lovely with other dogs, great with people. Still a drama king, but his staff at the vet adores him. His love goes through his taste buds. Best four legged alarm system. And a charmer.
Had a kiddo like this too. Got to give you props cause staying calm in these situations can be difficult, especially when they are scratching your neck and face while jumping 😬

Corgis are so dramatic about things. I don't have trouble grooming mine but he saves his dramatics for other things like seeing a dog or stroller to lose his mind.
I'm sure my puppy would make for a fun video. She's a 7 month old Brittany puppy named Nara that *loves* everyone. The issue with her wouldn't be that she would fight the grooming process, but the other way around. Everytime I've bathed her, she thinks it's the funniest game ever and gets excited to be soaked; biting the water and rolling around in the puddles. From the first bath she ever took, it's been hard to keep her away from water ever since... fountains, rivers, the sea, rain, showers at home, the dishwasher... if she hears water running, she wants in on the action. She also enjoys the toweling and the brushing, and lies down belly up for nail trimming, although we only trim her thumbs, since she runs around so much her nails are kept naturally short. She's a very good girl. Sadly I live in Spain, waaaay too far for it to happen.
Every Corgi I've looked after have HATED their paws being messed with. When we took our most recent opinionated floof home, it was one of the first things I tried to imprint on, but the best I can get is a high five for some belly rubs. On the other hand, our Border-collie will actively get my attention to hold her paw, and at this point, I'm not sure if she does it for support for her or for myself. Take care of your dogs, and they will try to do the same for you.
my only issue with my corgi's feet is that he never wants to sit still long enough for me to be ABLE to touch him. to trim his nails I have to lock myself in the bathtub with him (it has one of those glass doors that slide closed) and distract him with treats LOL

Still a drama king, but his staff at the vet adores him. His love goes through his taste buds. Best four legged alarm system. And a charmer.

Corgis are so dramatic about things. I don't have trouble grooming mine but he saves his dramatics for other things like seeing a dog or stroller to lose his mind.
I'm sure my puppy would make for a fun video. She's a 7 month old Brittany puppy named Nara that *loves* everyone.
The issue with her wouldn't be that she would fight the grooming process, but the other way around.
Everytime I've bathed her, she thinks it's the funniest game ever and gets excited to be soaked; biting the water and rolling around in the puddles. From the first bath she ever took, it's been hard to keep her away from water ever since... fountains, rivers, the sea, rain, showers at home, the dishwasher... if she hears water running, she wants in on the action.
She also enjoys the toweling and the brushing, and lies down belly up for nail trimming, although we only trim her thumbs, since she runs around so much her nails are kept naturally short.
She's a very good girl.
Sadly I live in Spain, waaaay too far for it to happen.
Every Corgi I've looked after have HATED their paws being messed with. When we took our most recent opinionated floof home, it was one of the first things I tried to imprint on, but the best I can get is a high five for some belly rubs. On the other hand, our Border-collie will actively get my attention to hold her paw, and at this point, I'm not sure if she does it for support for her or for myself. Take care of your dogs, and they will try to do the same for you.
my only issue with my corgi's feet is that he never wants to sit still long enough for me to be ABLE to touch him. to trim his nails I have to lock myself in the bathtub with him (it has one of those glass doors that slide closed) and distract him with treats LOL
Seriously the most beautiful corgi I’ve ever seen! I had two twin brother tri color corgis named Boomer and Sooner. They always hated getting groomed also 😂.
