I am in awe of her outstanding bravery, I nearly needed to look away several times, it was so graphic. I doubt a lesser dog would have survived, what can only be described as an attempt at her life, and a mauling by a professional groomer. Clearly being a good girl was her advantage. .

She's so adorable! I've only known one corgi and he was just the best boy. Tolerant, sweet, happy go lucky, a dream dog really. He's been gone for like 7 years, but if there is a doggy heaven, Milo is definitely there.

At least a parent can walk away from the 2 year old knowing the kid will run after them. Dogs are far more independent and will just walk away.

@@Vesperitis man mine is too much of a whimp to run away. When we go to walks outside, he walks really close to me I never had to pull her back or even felt like I was being pulled. The only time he is comfortable separating from any of my family is when he's at home.

This totally explains why my mom didn’t like corgis when she was a dog groomer.
Training is VERY important.
This is an example of a spoiled little brat.
My corgi (7 months F), are by no means, an angel, but we trained her to behave at most, if not all times.
Why people can’t put the effort to train their own dogs, is beyond me.
Kudos to your mom for being a champ for handling Karen’s spawns.
@YuanCrossXIII Keep in mind that this is still a puppy in the process of being trained. No need to assume the owners’ habits from a pup’s first grooming session.
@@YuanCrossXIII training means a lot but keep in mind a dog will act differently in a stressful situation with a stranger. dogs don't like grooming most of the time.

She was a dog trainer for 35 years too, she liked the cardigan corgis, but the pembrokes just have this demonic streak in them, no matter the training. And they're sneaky too, just so sneaky, lol. I showed her this and she said she thought it was a cardigan and a pembroke mix. As she was watching this, she kept nodding thru the whole thing, obviously in a 'Corgi from Hell" flashback lol.

Every Corgi I've looked after have HATED their paws being messed with. When we took our most recent opinionated floof home, it was one of the first things I tried to imprint on, but the best I can get is a high five for some belly rubs. On the other hand, our Border-collie will actively get my attention to hold her paw, and at this point, I'm not sure if she does it for support for her or for myself. Take care of your dogs, and they will try to do the same for you.
my only issue with my corgi's feet is that he never wants to sit still long enough for me to be ABLE to touch him. to trim his nails I have to lock myself in the bathtub with him (it has one of those glass doors that slide closed) and distract him with treats LOL

i swear thats with my cardigan, i swear cardigans and huskies might be the biggest drama queens, huskies being the largest, and corgis being the smallest of the bunch, chihuahuas have their own sector lmao

@@DesertMoon Pembroke Welsh corgis are usually red or tricolor apart from the standard orangish brown. however, cardigans do often come in blue merle. It is pretty common actually (for a cardigan, not so common for a pembroke) :)
It is actually because of a genetic defect called merle. This can also cause blindness, deafness and severe impaired balance. It is really sad and a lot of people are not educated about this :(
@@nanamille8676 merle is a genetic color, however, TWO merle genes (called a DOUBLE merle) is a defect that results in blindness and deafness and even death. This doesn’t happen to merles that often, however, if you breed two merles then you get double merle dogs out of which some WILL have health issues. But I totally agree that the merle gene in and of itself is harmful because even non merle dogs can carry the gene so you never know when breeding them :( it is sad when it is used just for beauty.

Dogs can learn words, especially commands, and are exceptionally good ad recognizing emotions through tone of voice. Even if she doesn't understand the words theirself, she understands the situation.

Blue eyes always look more open because we are used to brown eyes. The blue tends to blend with the white of their eyes enough to us that our initial instinctive response is that their eyes are open wider

@@Melleky Don't be so dramatic, she's gentle with the dogs and they always calm down and have fun running in the yard at the end. This was a new experience for the puppy so she was more freaked out than most of her clients.

I would say it was a cardigan because of the coloring, ears and fur. But the tail is too short. She actualy looks like a Pembroke/Cardigan mix.

Our Winston was ten handfuls as a puppy, always planning his next mischievous move but now at 3 years old he is fine. Lovely with other dogs, great with people. Still a drama king, but his staff at the vet adores him. His love goes through his taste buds. Best four legged alarm system. And a charmer.

I do love your colorful commentary! That said, recommending the owners acclimate her to the brush really is a must. My dog hated it at first, it when I bring out the brush now she cannot get enough.
