i work at a law office and its allowed to bring dogs to work, i like it for the most part but it can get really distracting when they are playing/fighting.
@Bewusster_Konsum 1. That career path generally leads to very long hours and little time home to see the dog. 2. Some dogs (such as my own) have severe separation anxiety when their owners are gone for a long time. 3. The owner would have to hire someone to look after their dog when at work mostly considering the hours. 4. Having a dog at the office can boost morale and the dog would be getting lots of attention and care from everyone. 5. The dog doesn't appear stressed and rather enjoys it so why shouldn't the dog go to work?
“Meetings are an addictive, highly self-indulgent activity that corporations and other large organizations habitually engage in only because they cannot actually masturbate.”
I'd argue that dogs do have a significant contribution. They're human health maintenance workers, stress reduction experts, social interaction facilitators, mood measurers, day rhythm keepers, low wage security experts, entertainers and comedians. But most of all they are family members, whose presence in life is both reassuring and confidence-inducing.
