For anyone interested in restoring old stuffed toys like this I recommend removing the stuffing if you have a bit of sewing skill. It's easier and should use less water to wash and rinse just the fabric than if you wash the stuffing too. I'd also avoid using chlorine bleach as it can cause yellowing and weakness to the fabric over time. An oxy cleaner can be used safely though. If the eyes are scuffed there is polish made for plastics, sometimes you can find it for polishing acrylic watch faces, or headlights. If you get headlight polish you just want to make sure that it is abrasive only and not chemical because the chemicals could damage polyester fur.

They aren't *moldy* but they don't smell right, so I'm planning to try and deep clean them as safely as possible soon. I considered replacing the stuffing, but the stuffing is a part of them to, so I don't feel right about throwing it out, so I'll do the best I can with it. I already had some guys from a club I'm in who own an actual freezer stick them in there for a bit, which should have killed off the weaker yeasts anyway (not gonna do much to bacteria unfortunately) which did accomplish something, as they smell different now - still weird, but a weaker and different weird. Since mold is obviously also a concern I acquired a petsafe antimold spray intended for antique fabric furniture, and I figured I'd mix some of that in with the last rinsing for some extra protection. The two oldest toys in the group are about 19 years old, so they're the one's I'm most concerned about.

I sell tons of plush and I put them in washing machine, something very old I would put on gentle cycle. Besides how clean it comes out it spins most of water out and then I just put them out in sun or air dry. Sometimes without the washing machine spinning the insides take too long to dry and start to smell because you can’t wring it out as good as the machine. Not all plush but I’d had a couple that just took to long to get the insides to dry.
I couldn't believe that the kitty used to be white, what a shock. That's one of the most amazing transformations I've ever seen :D Also I loved watching you play with the kitten, so cute. Brought me back to a better time. The way you make the kitten talk and respond is so heartwarming.
This was so sweet to watch. Seeing that little kitty get all cleaned was like watching him having new life breathed into him after over three decades. 男はぬいぐるみで遊ぶものじゃないという昔の固定概念からか、父親から柔らかく注意を受けやがて一緒に遊ぶことが無くなった事があり寂しい思いをしたのですが、今もこうやって大切にして、遊んでらっしゃるのを見て、心温まりました。。

I sell tons of plush and I put them in washing machine, something very old I would put on gentle cycle. Besides how clean it comes out it spins most of water out and then I just put them out in sun or air dry. Sometimes without the washing machine spinning the insides take too long to dry and start to smell because you can’t wring it out as good as the machine. Not all plush but I’d had a couple that just took to long to get the insides to dry.

昔動物が飼えなかったから動物代わりにぬいぐるみをペットにして可愛がってたな。そんな可愛いがってた子達をこの動画で思い出させてくれる、そして大切に今もとっておけば良かったと。 なんか表情も変わってびっくり。
そうそう大きなうさ子がまっ黒になるまで一緒に寝て、負ぶい紐で背中でバッテンでくくり付けて、可愛がってたあの頃。。3歳くらいの記憶が蘇る。
今はアレルギー湿疹が酷くて持たなくなっちゃったけど、この動画見て癒やされるよー💚
