G'day James, how magical is it paddling with dolphins! Thanks for making and sharing the video, it was a pleasure to watch and has increased my envy of those who can paddle in such a spectacular environment.

Ahh that's so nice of you to say. Thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Just now catching up on my video watching-that looks like such a great trip!! Wildlife: birds, dolphins, Scotsmen…
I share your excitement about paddling with dolphins. My son and I were off the coast of North Carolina on our way over to Bear Island for a night out, and we were fortunate enough to have 3 dolphins come straight at us and under our boats. Magical, thrilling.
I was waiting for the “yum-yum” in this video, and laughed out loud when you finally got to it! 😁
That stunning scenery is gorgeous, despite the midges, and I hope someday to get to paddle in that area.
Finally, is there anything more pleasing than the sound of rain on a tent?
Cheers, James! Thanks for sharing these videos and allowing us to join in your adventures!

      Franks back!
I've missed you in the comments section. You must be busy.
Yes terrific! Rain on a tent its a fantastic ASMR - soothing way of nodding off to sleep. I hope to do some more sea kayaking trips soon.
      Take it easy Frank!
      Thanks for the feedback!
      James

@@JamesFleming888 , yes I have been quite busy, indeed! Finally starting to get things…settled. (I almost said “under control” but realized the folly of that description immediately! ) 😆 Who knew moving across the world would require attention to so many details? 😁
I’ve missed watching and commenting on your videos, too, haha. Need my vicarious travel fix!
I’ll catch up on your other videos soon. Cheers, mate! Howdy to Karen, too!

Great video, James..I enjoyed that. I'm looking to do that same trip in September, and was wondering if you found it easy to top up with fresh water during the trip or whether you relied on what you took with you? Cheers. Paul

      Cheers Paul.
I had a Platyplus hydration (www.platy.com/ie/reservoirs/hoser-reservoir/hoser.html) on my BA so during the day I was fine. I didn't need to top it up and I made sure I drank little and often, almost finishing the bag each day. We also stopped for coffees / teas but these were pre made and in the flasks.
I took an extra 3 x1.5 litres of water with me to resupply my platypus and for cooking at night / morning.
So we all relied on what we took with us and none of us were caught short.
I also had a few beers... What can I say.
Enjoy your trip, I loved it.
      James

Ah, OK.. thanks James. I tend to carry a total of about 6litres with me, though before a trip I always scour the map looking for streams...trouble is, it isnt always matched by reality on the ground!😂
