- In this video, you will practice Phrases. A phrase is a related group of words. The words work together as a "unit," but they do not have a subject and a verb.
There are many different types of phrases and clauses. The first step to identifying the different types, though, is to understand the difference between a phrase and a clause.
In order to punctuate sentences correctly and avoid fragments, we need to know the difference between phrases and clauses. Sentences include a variety of phrases and clauses. But what’s the difference between a phrase and clause, and how can you tell if you’re using them correctly?
We’ve created a series of videos and tried to teach you the best possible way to learn English. All you have to do to watch the complete video and follow the instructions.

At 13:04 No. 23 should be *VERB PHRASE* because *To eat excess* contains no *NOUN*. It contains a verb! Infinitive and Gerund phrases are nonetheless part of the Verb phrase.
If we change tense there is no change in (To eat)So this proves it is noun, Second it Works as a subject in a given sentence.👍
Third we can replace it by #it# or #this# 😂
