These LS motors are no joke my 01 ext cab got a 5.3 Ls LM7 Vortech with intake headers and exhaust and it pulls like a mofo, hoping to cam it on about a 228 duration stage 3 cam and drop trick flow heads and 2800 stall in it in a few weeks...good kill
I’d go with just porting the factory heads. The aftermarket one will not give you the extra power you think. Keep the combo simple and it will be a monster. I’d put a tbss manifold with ported factory heads. Proven combo trust me
I think you meant 318 pounds more 12 ozs x 24 bottles coronas = 288oz 16 ozs= 1 pound there for 288oz / 16 = 18 the case probably gives it an extra 1/2-1 pound
If that was an old school hemi, with the opposed valves, same displacement, it would have been a different result. And I'll say again, chevy LS are no slouch

There has to be more to this story, a 6.0 work just a couple cam and tune would be lucky to make 400hp, none the less the 500 it would need to outrun a 392, those cars are solid mid 12 second cars or better, a 6.0 with the mods you listed isn't touching low 12s

Brandon McDonald I’m gonna throw some facts at you, the tbss and gto’s came with cathedral port heads, 2.00 inch valves and 210cc intake runners, what he has in his truck is a ly6 6.0 liters of displacement with 2.165 inch valves and damn near 260cc intake runners, those heads on that engine Flow more stock them most after market cathedrals do, with simple headers and tune and headers make 440 pretty easily, throw in a cam in the mix and you’re maxing 500 if not more depending on cam grind.

BOTH vortech but no slouches at all...The truck has alot of torque through the bottom end all the way through the power curve. Truck is probably over 500 hp easy and about 550 ft lbs of torque
