    How much time per day do you spend responding to comments? it's rare to see a channel this big reply to so many, much respect!

    • @GrahamStephan
      @GrahamStephan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3438

      Usually about an hour per day! Typically, I make myself available for an hour after each video posts to respond back to people - my thought is that if people take the time to watch my video from the notification and comment, they should get a response back. I don't always get to everyone in the hour but I try my best!

    The great fall has already occurred, and recession is a disaster. The FED will need to use every effort in order to stop the market. Markets are being destroyed, which is a regrettable situation. You must rely heavily on diversification if you wish to remain green. Currently 17% up on my $840K portfolio while being cautious. Even so, it's still better than keeping it in a checking or savings account that pays 0-1 percent interest.

    You touched on something very interesting and real in the beginning. Getting sucked into a MLM seminar or a pipe dream.
    For anyone who has been talked to about MLM or some form of a pipe dream that really only benefits other people yet they’re promising “passive income” I’d recommend that you steer clear.
    Very few people (VERY FEW) benefit from MLM and it is not very passive at all. Moreover, it requires people to buy your product and it depends on your ability to recruit people to also sell said products.
    That’s my PSA for today, and I’m speaking from experience here.

    TH-cam is definitely less of a passive situation and more of a flywheel situation. The more work you do, the more money you make with less effort. Just have to get it moving and then once it does all the work you've done continues to make money without more input.

    1. Music royalties from radio and spotify. Not a lot its about 200 every 3 months but i mean its a start.
    2. anywhere from 2-6k a month selling stock option contracts and dividends from my investment portfolio. (this one is more semi passive as it needs more attention and work)

After many, many, many lost years of not doing stuff like this, I FINALLY started doing stuff like this last fall pre-Covid, investing in micro-shares of Amazon Stock (I work for them) and and Mutual Fund that principally features Amazon stock, and have gotten a huge return, especially due to explosive growth due to people buying much more online because of the pandemic... It just KILLS me when I sit and realize how much money I just THREW AWAY over the years by not trying to make my money work for me, but at least I learned before it was too late!! I don't believe opening new cards to get money is really a sound financial decision based on the average consumer behaviors. I'd like for you to elaborate on when to open new cards and any limit you may have on the amount of credit cards you should hold? I'd also like you to talk about what happens to peoples' credit when they cancel old cards and open new ones. I keep 3 at max to avoid any temptations, I pay them off every month in full. Paying them off to a 0 balance each month will never hurt (it's a myth that paying them off hurts consumers, in fact it helps your credit score as around 30% of your score is credit spent vs credit available. As you pay it off in full, the bank automatically increase your credit limit on your cards without income or credit qualifications, thus increasing your credit score.) It's OK to have cards with perks, but you have to pay them off in full. You'll pay 0 interest while increasing your credit score. You will get the perks of the cards such as 3% cash back, however you'll never pay a dime of interest to the bank. It adds up over time. It's one of the reasons I rarely use my debit card. I'd like you to create a follow up video on this topic.

    The issue is you gotta look at the long term chart on high paying dividend stocks...these stocks haven't moved up in YEARS. Then you get taxed 2 times: as a owner of the company you get taxed on the companies profits, then you get hit with taxes again when you collect your dividend. Dividend investing is for people who are scared to actually invest in innovative companies.

      Its a few months late but if i can tell something to help you i will try. My mother always pushed me to become better at school go to university get educated all that bs. She spent alot of extra cash around 250 every month for me to make extra classes. I am now 26 years old and no high paying job in my country can be taken without conmections so i am stuck with minimum wage and sometimes less. If she had let me start a job at 14 instead of school and she invested the 250 she was paying as well as me adding another 250 every month in an index fund investment i would now have half a million. If i held even more i would be a millionaire by the age of 35 where i could safely marry, raise children afford a house and a car all on my own just with a small investment and some extra work for a few years. Dont make the same mistake friend, invest in your future smart, get properly educated and learn how to invest now in order to become financially strong later, time is key in investments and time means profits. Dont spend on useless things like most of your generation use your money wisely and by the time you reach your 30s you will have enougj money to spend on whatever the hell you wish without reprecutions any more.
