You don’t need a test your existing license makes you eligible to drive anywhere in the world where IDL is recognised.

The Emirates ID is required to have an IDL ? what about the Passport only ?

Whatever is your classification on the license will be reflected to your IDL. Consider IDL is just a translation of your current license.

No, Heavy trucks rule are subjected to country. Legal and Insurance etc

Sorry you are mistaken. If you are travelling to any country (out of Europe) which doesn’t speak English you will need IDL. Main purpose of the IDL is to have legally translated document which is needed when for example if you hit someone. Don’t tell me people from UK don’t have accidents 😄

A) IDL should be carried with ur original license if not it’s invalid, So ur category can be seen.
B) Getting a new license is india is fresh process like for all nothing to do with IDL or uae license. It will not add any value as left hand drive and right hand drive differences.

If you have Indian drivers license you can get it from your nearby RTO easily.

No you cannot, Also Insurance will not cover if you get into an accident.
I applied for an IDP from India through online RTO website and i went to the RTO office and submitted all the documents and RTO said that i will get my IDP tomorrow. But is it possible to drive in UAE with IDP? As my friends said it is used in other countries like UK etc. Do u have instagram or anything so that i can sent the photo of my IDP
You can drive as well as rent a car in UAE too using IDP from india just make sure to read all the rules and fines Info before you attempt to drive.

Only on visit Visa. If you have residence then you need to have UAE DL before driving in UAE.
Good morning sir, am from the Gambia but lives in Italy. I went for holidays in the Gambian and got my gambian license, however, I asked the authorities in the gambia they said I can only apply for the international drivers license to be able to drive in Italy but then a friend td me there is nothing like international driving license but an idl. Now that am back in Italy how can I get the idl of my country issues only international drivers licence and is there any site I can get access to know where I can find one
You can get IDL from the country where you have the driver’s license from.
it is a serious vallation of safety to shoot a video while driving.

No You cannot. You need to get it from your home country. IDL from UAE required UAE DL.

To successfully pass UAE drivers license test you need to study the rules well and watch& learn how other drivers are driving. The test is difficult but if you follow all rules and drive professionally you will get it the first time itself. All the best.

I don't understand why people would need a IDL, I've never heard anybody saying one needs this to drive in another country. I even looked at what it takes to drive in Russia for a foreigner and it only says you need your license from your country to drive in the first 6 months and after that, one needs to exchange their license for a russian license if staying for a long time.
Every country has its own rules, That’s why I mentioned in the video to find out the law before travelling.

Hi there. IDP is considered a valid document only along with the original driver's licence. You need to carry both. If the police stops you he will ask for both to validate.
My friend said that I don't need to take my country licence along, since my IDP is European 10 years and I am using it in EUROPEAN countries

I suggest you don’t worry so much just ask any law officer in Italy and clear your doubts. Also please share you experience here.
As I mentioned in the video do your research before travelling to any country don’t reply on social media or word of mouth alone. Ask people who have done it.

You have to always carry your local original license along with your IDL without it it’s not valid. IDL is just a paper with translation and has unique number in it. The number is internationally valid and will lead to your local license.

I haven’t tried it online and I wouldn’t recommend it. It easy to get it yourself through the authorised center.

Same process of making new one. Repeat again. You will get a new copy of IDL.

Usually you need to have the drivers license of that country not IDL to get a job. Cause you might fail in the driving test in that country. So I doubt if company will accept.

If you already have a IDL based on ur DL where you reside then yes you can drive in India based on it. Note that u cannot drive a 2 wheeler if you have a 4 wheeler IDL and vice versa.
