Yeah, although I do have to kind of disagree with heroes never knowing if their sacrifice was worth it. Not all heroes sacrifice themselves, having to hope for the best. Some manage to live long enough to know that it was worth it. 2 examples are Sora in Kingdom Hearts 1 (although his death is a bit temporary, he does live long enough to know Kairi will be safe at least for a little while), and Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 if you chose to get the high honor ending and helped John and his family.
The unluckiest person in the world is the one who dies believing that they have failed everything that they love, when in reality, they have saved everything. The luckiest person in the world is the one dies believing that they have succeeded in everything, but have truly failed.
What hurts even more is that Pyrrha basically died for nothing. She didn't save Beacon from falling, she didn't stop Cinder, she didn't stop Salem. She felt that she had to at least try, but she really should've tried living to fight another day. I suppose you could argue that her death DID make some difference in the Battle for Beacon with Ruby finally tapping into her Silver Eyes Ex Machina, but the communication towers are still down and Beacon is still overrun with grimm. It's just sad to think about lol rip
In all fairness, Pyrrha was a Huntress. Although her fate was a Pyrrhic Victory, at least she tried to do something no one else had the courage to do. She's more than a huntress in a way. As Tyrian said. A true huntress has entered the fray.
She was the sacrifice, in a way. Although a Pyrrhic Victory means the loss of nearly everyone who won on their side. JNPR technically lost a soul member, and it was in vein. They won at the highest cost of all.
Yes, in a way. Although they took a heavy toll at Beacon. They still managed to escape, and wasn't that the plan Pyrrha had in mind? That was her victory, at the cost of herself. That's what I meant.
The title Forever Fall has so much meaning. It was in the forest of Forever Fall where Jaune gained his humility and confidence. Phyrra was to become the Fall maiden. It was Phyrras destiny to Fall protecting the ones she loved. And it was her who Forever Fell in love with the man who needed her most.
Imagine an alternate version of events where Jaune died instead of Pyrrha. he is able to redirect his rocket thing and crashes it into cinder kinda like how Yang crashes Bumblebee into Adam. He is able to by enough time for Ruby to get to the top of the tower before getting killed in the same way Cinder killed Pyrrha. Ruby’s eyes activate when she sees this just like in the normal timeline. Honestly I think it would have been even more emotional because Ruby and Jaune were actual friends.
Damn that's pretty depressing to think about, I can't imagine RWBY without Jaune since he's my favourite male character second to Qrow (obviously) and he's developed so much
In addition, imagine what Pyrrha would have had to go through, having been in love with him all of that time; unless they would have somehow kissed before his death, she would have never gotten to tell him how she felt before he died.
@@elierickson298 wow.... that's so sad to think about but seriously interesting at the same time. I know Pyrrha turned into a golden colored ash when she died to Cinder, but humor me for a second here. Doesn't it look like Pyrrha's hair is turning into a yellow very similar to Jaune's? Go and listen at 4:04, "Nothing, even death, can separate our souls...'cause you're my final goal." And then I think back to when Pyrrha unlocked Jaune's semblance back in Season 1: "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. INFINITE IN DISTANCE AND UNBOUND BY DEATH, I RELEASE YOUR SOUL, AND BY MY SHOULDER, PROTECT THEE." Makes me wonder if maybe she really did stay with Jaune...
It is a theory that the "chant" she used to unlock Jaune's Aura was not the normal way an Aura is meant to be awoken (no one else has ever mentioned this "Aura chant" as the means to use Aura). She also notes that she used her Aura to awaken his. The theory goes that Jaune's always had a bit of Pyrrha's Aura due to this rare method of awakening. thus she may still be with Jaune, even if just as something that can't easily interact with the world. (Hence why the only power she had was to appear as a leaf to guide Jaune to meet her mother.)
I just realized that volume 6's opening references to this, as well. Maybe, Pyrrha's spirit is following them or something. Imagine everyone's reaction to finding that out!
Based on this song, and Jaune's Joan of Arc inspiration, I suspect Jaune isn't going to survive the series. He'll die, probably fighting Cinder, and be reunited with Pyrrha in whatever passes for heaven in Remnant.

a Wish for Love, I made
and by the riverbed, i found you
Cold, Alone, and asleep
From Venus You came
On Earth You'll Stay
I offered Hospitality
you accepted
Protecting you from Danger
Hiding you from Evil.
Then it Came, Destroyer of Planets
a Star so Large, with one gazing eye
Staring at us
I Fought with you
and You Did your best.
Destroyed the Star, i was so happy
But where did you go?
Why did you Leave?
Where is My Love?
A Thousand Years Later, I sit here
Looking at the stars, Thinking about you
My Love for you is Unbreakable
My Fear for You is Undeniable
My Anger is Strong
and my Sadness even Stronger
i cannot be without you much longer.
from home i call
using up all my Attention
I let them Go
These Iridescent Emotions.
And if you Hear me
if you can see the light
Follow it home
I'll Be Waiting for you.
My Purpose is to Protect
My Will is to Love
A Prince from Venus
and a Human from Earth
Our Love is One
and our Wish to come.

this warm sensation, the cold streak down my face
All my Fears, all my Tears, let out at once

Team red is triggered Cinder you messed up big time Donut, Sarge, Grif, Simmon and the rest of team red coming for u you messed with one of their fellow reds
in the fight with pyrrha and cinder i had a feeling cinder cheated just to get rid of pyrrha faster
Cinder and a jealous Weiss are the only 2 dislikes.
Why would weiss be jealous?
@@marinadiaz1762 Cuz she realized how great Jaune is and that she missed her chance to basically be his girlfriend like Pyrrha was.
Mia Milles Uhhh I don’t see that at all. I just see Weiss warming up to Jaune as friends canonically. But ok
Also Weiss isn’t mean anymore. She wouldn’t dislike this. She’s better than that. That would be pretty dark
@@marinadiaz1762 True. Good points. :P I honestly didn't really know what I was exactly thinking when I posted that; it was really late at night and I was super tired. XD
If Amber was saved first, then Pyrrha would have become the Fall Maiden and killed Cinder right then and there.
Why did pyrra have to die??????
*Watches rwby chibi so I can heal*
WHY DOES PYRRHA HAVE TO DIE FOR WHY PYRRHA WHY THE FANS LOVE HER😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I feel your pain my friend
Do you believe in Destiny?
The one moment where people actually cared, and then most people's favorite character (at the time) gets flash incinerated. Never quite realized the 0-100 the show took since it calmed down so much. Shame Forever Fall isn't as good as One Thing. Bad Luck Charm or some others.
The death of Pyrrha was really unnecessary :(
cinders the only dislike
