I had to replace a naturally mated queen from last year as she was a drone layer queen, and the swarm from the same hive I had to replace the queen as they where so nasty this year, replaced both queens with a black mountain mated queens and all are doing really well. So from now on, will always go with a mated buckfast queen.
Early on in my years of keeping bees I made the mistake of leaving all the swarm cells in the hive and my bees cast multiple swarms with virgins to the point every last bee was gone.
Unfortunately the charged queen cup I left must have failed or she died on mating as when I checked back they were laying worker hive. Devastated. Shook them out and some found refuge in a bait hive!
I don't know what happened to my beehive but the queen is different a way too much different from the last one and she doesn't laying eggs please tell me what to do my beehive gonna die
