The Story of the Oak Ridge Boys Farewell Tour

The Oak Ridge Boys Farewell Tour is on. They announced the last lap around America in September, 2023. For the first part of this report, Bass singer Richard Sterban talked with me in June, 2021 just as the music industry was slowly recovering from the pandemic and COVID restrictions. We talked at that time about his life story, his early life. his time with JD Sumner and The Stamps, Elvis, his autobiography, the new (then) album "Front Porch Singin' " and their show at Paris, Tennessee. Cactus Jill and I attended that show, as my first time to see The Oaks live on stage! (Cactus Jill had seen them before). I was blown away! I figured that was my last chance to talk with any of these superstar entertainers, but I later got to talk with William Lee Golden more than once, (Those conversations are in production to add here soon) as he also tours with his children in their group "The Goldens". Anyway,
last fall the Oaks scheduled a stop on their Christmas tour in Paducah, Ky. at our local venue, The Carson Center. Lo and behold, I got ANOTHER chance to talk with Richard! In the second interview he talked about the show, their farewell tour, and The Reason For The Season.
