Thank you so much for everything that you share of this group during the years that Steve Sanders was in it. God bless you always!!! Holly in east TN (a girl who still misses him)
You are welcome. I have enjoyed the Oaks for many, many years. With all the videos I recorded and this being their last year of touring, I want to share the joy their music brought into my life with others.
I'm guessing that this is from around 1989, as they started singing "Gonna Take a Lot of River" during the interview. Steve Sanders had an amazing voice, just imagine what the Oaks could have been like as a quintet with Steve AND William. The Sanders era of the Oaks' career seems to be largely ignored in favor of their earlier material. I have yet to find an Oaks compilation album that includes all of the Sanders era hits. I have the Monogahela album on cassette and regularly listen to tracks from Unstoppable right here on TH-cam. Maybe Sanders would not have taken his life if he had been allowed to stay in the group as a fifth member once Golden returned. Golden really should have never been made to leave the group in the first place, like I said there is no reason why the Oak Ridge Boys could not have become a quintet! And now in 2024 we have lost Joe Bonsall, having lost Sanders back in the 1990s. Let's also remember co-host Regis Philbin (pre-Millionaire) whom we lost a few years back. RIP all three of you!

Thank you for these Oak Ridge Boys videos! So many of these I've never seen and some I've been looking for for years.

@@LowBase I remember seeing them on Hot Country Nights on TNN and they sang Baby On Board with Steve Sanders. Would you happen to have that video?
I don’t have that exact video but I do have that song posted on my channel.
@@LowBase Do you have the Rockapella video, they made an appearance on this show
The Days when Richard Sterban looked a million dollars❤
Steve Sanders was the best lead vocalist they had in my opinion may he RIP
Steve never got the credit he deserved. The Oak Ridge boys flourished with him.
Imagine a five-member Oaks lineup with Duane, Joe, Richard, William, AND Steve!
