Im so glad the content has been valuable to you, Mardas! Are you auditioning for drama school this year? I’d be happy to share more insight. Just email me at: john@howtogetintodramaschool.com
I’m from Malaysia but I studied in the US for 4 years and graduated with a degree in Theatre and Arts. I auditioned for the URTA’s in January this year but I didn’t get into any schools. I’m hoping to get into an MFA in Acting program through URTA’s or a different MFA in Acting program online.

Is there any way to find performances online by any of these amazing people? I’m auditioning for Juilliard in January as a transfer from my previous BFA Acting program and would love to see some successful and talented performances (I’ve scoured all of TH-cam and found nothing other than professional performances by celebrity alum haha)
I'm not sure if it has been covered, but as I'm applying to schools like Yale, I'm kind of stumped on how exactly to write my statement if purpose? Like I'm not sure how formal or informal it can be, if should talk in first person or not, if I should make it sound academic? How much should I talk about myself or why exactly I want to go to the school? I'm writing for Yale currently so I'm wondering how I go about it in an appropriate way. Any tips and/or advice? Thank you!
Tara, great question. The answer is you should definitely write in first person and stay focused on the prompt in an authentic way. I’m not sure what the prompt is for Yale right now, but your writing should help the reader feel as if they know you better - your goals, your your beliefs, your passions, the significant moments/projects that have influenced your artistry. Happy to talk more and provide some examples. Email me if that would help: anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com

Hi Surbhi! The length of the program depends on each school: Yale School of Drama's MFA program is 3 years long, for instance; and Juilliard's MFA is 4 years. Are you thinking of auditioning this year? I'd be happy to chat more about the process. Just email me at: john@howtogetintodramaschool.com 🎭

Yesha Dave asked: Does it make sense to pursue a second bachelors degree ( already have an undergraduate deg in engineering) instead of an MFA?
Mayo asked: Are there students [at Yale School of Drama] who do not have BFAs in Acting?
Would love to see more videos like this!!!
