TRYING TO KILL A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE THROTTLE STUCK WIDE OPEN

Know of a 5.2 in the 5th Grand Cherokee body. One kid blew a hose and run it until it wouldn't go. I hauled to repair shop for him, expecting to install another engine. Mechanic two days later, trimmed hose, filled with antifreeze, and drove it around. Engine still running today. Toughest engine I have ever seen.......by far.

If you want to have a little fun burning up an old engine, get a NOS bottle and hose
Don't need anything else, just run the hose to the intake and open the valve a bit at a time as much fun as you want!

yeah, I have a '95 jeep cherokee sport, and it is doing OK with minimal maintenance and little run time, but one day, I'm going to clean the engine and lubricate everything. so she runs like new. at the moment, she has a faint nocking when the engine is started but fades away after awhile

also if the ignition sticks and throttle is stuck, I have a pair of pliers in the driver side door so I can unhook the battery

Those 4.0s are good engines! I watched one that had already shot 3 rods start up and as my buddy was moving the jeep it shot another, and eventually it was running on one cylinder!

That is a 5.2L V8 not a 4.0 inline 6.

You can get a cheap one if you don't have much money, look at the white one I had, only paid $700 for it. never had any problems with it. never got stuck. 5.2v8.
