I can't believe how the set shots are just Schithouse, with the money these players get, they shouldn't miss, just poor kicking, they should watch the legends, Dunstal, Locket, Ablett.
Yeah, it’s almost like the game today is faster and harder than it was in the 80s and 90s… 🙄 Ever wonder why no-one kicks 100 goals in a season? It’s not because they can’t kick straight. You’re not comparing apples with apples - Dunstall wouldn’t get a game by today’s standards.
Old forwards also didn't run much, just parked it in the 50. All forwards these days run as far as half back, so are probably breathing a lot harder which impacts shot accuracy.
Well, they were 2nd on the ladder and a lot of commentators were saying that they will win the GF. So yeah, it's a big talking point when they only scrapped through on percentage. Now they will most likely lose their first final.
‘It’s better to look at a teams win / loss ratio rather than their position on the ladder…’ Um, % aside doesn’t the ladder reflect your win / loss ratio?
if every team had Carltons injury list and we were at absolute full strenght we would be 4 games clear on top of the ladder - peoples dislike for Carlton gets in the way of their thinking all the time- Blues at full strenght a long way better than all teams !!
With the extra week off before the finals, it erases the tremendous advantages the top 4 teams have over the bottom 4, although the double chance is always nice.
Best 2 KPD, best ruck and best KPF all missing, but still competitive against top 8 teams. Freo played the last month without it's spine. We need to put Darcy on a diet or he will have knee issues his whole career.
