Bhetki Macher Paturi is Bengali Style Recipe where Barramundi Fish is cooked by wrapping in banana leaf. The Bhetki (Barramundi) fish pieces are marinated in a spiced mustard paste, individually wrapped in banana leaf and then slow cooked till tender. Enjoy this recipe with hot steamed rice.

INGREDIENTS:

• Bhetki (Barramundi) Fish Fillet - 800 Gms (10 Pc)
• Banana Leaves (5 to 6)
• Grated Fresh Coconut - ½ Cup (60 Gms)
• Curd/Yogurt - ½ Cup (125ml)
• Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp
• Green Chilies - according to taste
• Mustard Oil - 3 Tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Cotton Thread
MAKE A PASTE OF:

• Black Mustard Seeds - 4 Tbsp
• Yellow Mustard Seeds - 2 Tbsp
• Poppy Seeds - 2 Tbsp
• Green Chilies - 1 or 2 (depending on taste)

Very nice.I prefer to use some green chillies while making paste of the mustard. Next instead of curd I prefer to mix sour cream and to balance it I use char mogoz paste blended with little cashew nuts. Other ingredients are perfect. Yes u r right to say that narkel kora is preferred to paste.
