Hi. I wondering if you would be able to help me. I have the exact same problem on my Hantarex Polo 28. Possibly the ghosting is a little worse on my monitor. I also have the colour and brightness being darker to the left-hand gradually getting brighter towards the right, same as yours. I have tried replacing resister R36 with no success. Is there any other resistor/part I can check or change. I wish I could just buy a working neck board, but I am unable to locate any here in the UK using the usual forums and sites. Many thanks in advance and thank you for all the informative videos.
Mike please be careful with polishing tempered glass, it almost always implodes. It has to be perfectly cooled and lubricated with water and even then it will still implode. If you have some coating that fills the cracks that might work
Just curious why didn't you just use the spare instead of removing just the resistor? Thanks for these video super interesting, and it look a little dangerous as well.
I have the exact same problem but its waaaay worse ghost boxing over everything, but im also getting some curling on the top left of the image as well so going to check that and see what happens
I have a similar issue on my polo, but instead of horizontal ghosting the left two inches of my screen is just significantly brighter. Enough that it’s showing the raster lines, but has a similar ghosting look. Do you thinks it’s the same R36 issue you had?
hi Mike i no this is a long shot but my arcade machine has gone weird it was working fine then one day i put it on and i think something went inside the thing is don't even know where to start looking. have you any pointers to what i should check I've tried the pots but i think somethings gone somewhere also i can just make out the screen looks upside down all of a sudden as well th-cam.com/users/shortsDtH4UKX3Jaw?si=XcXnaNpngjZC_97H
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair I've just had a look and the sync wires from the harness going to the chassis all look to be in place its stumped me not sure what's going on 🤕sadly living here in the UK there's nowhere that really repairs them either 🤥
That's one repair I'd have spent probably days looking for, lol. Nice job.

Curling at the top is an H.Hold/H.Phase adjustment issue.
Thanks ill check that too
thanks!
You’re welcome!

I would suspect the flyback based on your description.
someone could be searching for that resistor problem for a looong time
When your image’s blurred… And it don’t look good who you gonna call?? R36. 👻 💥
