Better than Ami. Speed, power and range is opmtimal. Good design. Plus it has a trunk.
I have their S01 connected bike. Very good build quality. Love it. If the car is built as well it'll be a hit in the cities.
Very possibly our next car- IF (big IF) I can get one in the US. The removable batteries/ use the batteries for other applications, like solar home power storage, is absolutely brilliant. One day in the very distant future this will be the norm... there's no reason to spend umpteen gazillion dollars on separate batteries for dedicated applications, other than to enrich corporations!

Nice , this must be the first electric car I could possibly use as someone who lives in apartments building with undeground parking but no power sockets anywhere there :) Removable battery should also help with driving in winter (I live in eastern europe), why precondition the battery at freezing temperatures when it gets into condition at home ! HA! and all you need is just to plug it in , brilliant . I wonder about price of 90km/h version and possible safety (how bad it is during collision?) and noise (Toyota made 3 wheeled "car" like this and it sounds like a big drill (it never left japan tho)) i wonder how noisy is it inside this car
At this price, noise isn't much of a problem, at least for me. I guess it wouldn't be too noisy since there is no internal combustion engine. My main concern about all these "microcars" is safety!
@@NickPantazis You right , thats my concern as well, 90km/h is no joke when it comes to sudden stops . As for noise , I remember it incorrectly (probably my phone audio was set to high) , I watched toyota again , its not that loud th-cam.com/video/jNetocoX9mo/w-d-xo.html

A quadricycle is a four-wheeled motorcycle. So ask yourself, how safe is a motorcycle? Yet, people ride 'them' all the time.
@@merouby i used to ride motorcycle for 4 years , never fell of it , except for stand stills , motorcycles are not safe , but with motorcycle you carry safety equipment on yourself , if someone rear ends you - you will end on their hood , for head on collision you might fly over which is also best of the worst scenario, but here you wont use helmet and have to take the hit with the car + kiss windshield /steering wheel , don't know. But probably within city limits its absolutely fine, not sure about country side roads. Other than that idea behind this car is brilliant
Genius move to have the batteries on a roller to charge. I am a urban apartment dweller. Solar charging would also work here in sunny San Diego.

Silence acaba de presentar el que es su primer coche adaptado para la movilidad en la ciudad y además, completamente eléctrico. La tecnología y la innovación se han unido para lograr que el primer nanocar de la marca vea la luz y se convierta en una opción para todos aquellos conductores que buscan una forma práctica, eficiente y sostenible de moverse por la ciudad, a la vez que apuestan por un tamaño reducido para moverse los núcleos urbanos.
Es un vehículo creado para desplazarse con soltura en las zonas metropolitanas, ya que su tamaño es la mitad de un utilitario convencional, tan solo 2,3 metros de largo y 1,56 de ancho. Otra de las ventajas que presenta el nuevo Silence S04 gracias a su tamaño es la facilidad que tiene para poder encontrar aparcamiento, ya que se puede estacionar tanto en plazas de coches como de motos.
El S04 está diseñado para dos pasajeros y el interior de este vehículo se encuentra optimizado para que la habitabilidad interior sea mejor. Los asientos se colocan de forma asimétrica, para conseguir dar una mayor sensación de habitabilidad en el interior y que los ocupantes tengan mayor movilidad en el interior. Además, el maletero, aunque del mismo tamaño que el coche, permite que se puedan guardar pequeños bultos como son bolsas de la compra, mochilas o equipamiento deportivo pequeño.
Estará disponible en dos versiones L6e y L7e. La primera incorpora un motor de 6kW, y su velocidad está limitada a 45 km/h, motivo por el cual se puede conducir sin carnet de conche, una vez se han cumplido los 15 años. La batería que tiene la versión L6e es de 5,6 kWh. Por otro lado, la versión L7e que será la más potente, tiene un motor de 14kW y dos baterías de 11,2 kWh que permiten que el Silence S04 tenga una autonomía de 149 kilómetros. La velocidad máxima que puede alcanzar esta versión son los 90 km/h. Las baterías que utiliza son de tipo trolley, al igual que las que montan el resto de los vehículos de la marca, por lo que son intercambiables entre ellos.
Las baterías se pueden cargar de dos maneras. En primer lugar y como en cualquier vehículo eléctrico, a través de la toma de corriente que se encuentra en la parte frontal del Silence S04. La otra forma es extraer las baterías, que se encuentran situadas debajo de los asientos y cargarlas en el puesto de trabajo o en casa, a través de una toma sencilla.
El nuevo Silence S04 incluye soluciones de conectividad a través de la aplicación My Silence, que permite guardar la ubicación de estacionamiento del coche, comprobar la autonomía, el estado de la batería y del vehículo. Esta aplicación también permite que se utilice el samrtphone como llave electrónica del coche y se podrá encender y apagar el coche, acceder al interior del mismo, abrir el maletero, bloquear las puertas, o subir y bajar las ventanillas, entre otras funciones. También servirá para conocer en todo momento cual es la ubicación del vehículo y hará que salte una notificación cuando se detecte alguna cosa extraña, como puede ser un golpe o un intento de robo.

I want to own one of these! What would the price be for the UK market? Also, love the idea of battery removal. And also being a 2 seater and having a hatchback for storage space works really well for this neat looking car. I can imagine it being a real winner when it finally hits the streets.

Imagine your entire company of over 100 employees plugging in 400,000kW lithium ion battery’s to charge all day, are we not supposed to be reducing hydro usage😂
I'd be interested to know if the Top Speed is sustainable on a Hill. The specifications are "just right" as a second vehicle but here in the USA, hills are a reality for a large portion of the countryl. I suspect that it would be much like other micro cars; No, they are built for flat terrain.
A Car like this would definitely be a great "second Car" choice but not everywhere. Florida would be a promising Market - even as an "only Car"
We need this in USA. If the battery connects to a standard outlet why not mount external solar panels on top of the car to the battery that's not in use? I'd bypass your charging stations all together.

@@lewismcnicholas2631 Could be ... I'm a little skeptical that the car will even be released. In the meantime, there have been so many very good concepts that have unfortunately stayed with the concept. Also, I've seen that Silent has many bad reviews from Portuguese people for their service ... we'll see how this comes out.
@@lewismcnicholas2631 exactly, the 7,500€ price is for the basic entry one. Once you go for the 90kmh one, which needs the extra battery the cost will go through the roof.
So many great ideas like this but then just fail to appear.

Can I buy a 45 km/h model and change the max speed to 50-55 km/h? should be better in my city. Now I have an AMI but think this Silence is better.

Does anyone know if they have a cargo version or planning to provide one? I'd love to purchase one if my American Akita would fit in it. But looking at the info I can find on the internet, the 2 seater looks like it doesn't have enough space. Not even if you take out the passenger seat.

Are there no legal cars in the USA with removable battery? That is the only way I could own one since there are no outlets in my parking lot.
Not cars. I've seen some electric scooters and motorcycles with removable batteries. It would have to be a tiny micro-car like the Silence to have small enough batteries to be able to remove and roll around. If the Silence S04 were sold in the US it would be classified as a NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle) and programmed to only go 25-30 mph.
Almost as expensive as the Toyota Aygo!
